How much TOB travel req'd to disengage OE clutch?

I am looking for technical detail. OE clutch. Once the TOB contacts the clutch fingers, how much linear travel or movement is required to disengage the clutch?

(maybe more info than you expected!)

Well, I have a Hydraulic Release Bearing. (a Tilton cylinder) The bearing froze up and destroyed the cylinder. I resurfaced my flywheel and installed a new OE Exedy clutch. I needed to be sure that my new TOB had the proper clearance between it and the clutch fingers. The Tilton cylinder has a total movement of .7" .

I measured the distance from the bellhousing/trans mounting surface (at engine block) to the clutch fingers and also to the TOB surface (fully retracted) I needed to alter the latter measurement to provide the clearance I wanted. I wanted to know how far the TOB needed to travel to fully disengage the clutch. That's the 8mm that Exedy told me. (I suppose I didn't need this number for sure, but it's nice to know.)Turns out that the cylinder has plenty of movement to allow the clearance I wanted. Tilton suggested .170" to .230" of clearance. I went with the minimum of .170" and added .200" to allow for clutch wear.
I ended up machining my HRB base to get this clearance. (Still waiting on my machinist, though.)
