A few updates to share

6/13/17 - Installed a Seibon VS carbon fiber hood

6/19/17 - Got rid of the Invidia N1 & Invidia resonated front pipe in exchange for a Tomei ExpremeTi 60r

6/23/17 - Got the car tinted. I usually prefer the fish bowl (untinted) look but the heat was killing me in a black car. Went with 70% 3M Crystaline on the windshield and 15% 3M FX Premium on the rest of the car

6/28/17 - Seibon CSL carbon fiber trunk installed

6/30/17 - Grill for the hood painted black, AeroCatch hood pins installed, and trunk was cut to fit the backup camera

7/27/17 - Swapped to the Zenki BRZ bumper with OEM fog lights and lower grill cutout. Banner was removed, still deciding on its replacement.

8/5/17 - DevSport winglets installed as a temporary solution to some of the damage on the BRZ bumper. Rear ride height was also adjusted to even it out with the front.

More updates coming soon, next priority is swapping out the winglets for something more my style. Enjoy and stay tuned

Wow. I hate(d) the new '17 86 bumper, but after you put the BRZ bumper on, I think I liked the old look better. Also liked the stock hood.. You had a clean car man...stop messing with it. lol

liked everything you did except all the designs on the steering wheel and not feeling the front bumper switch at all. People that actually see the 86 front in person love it. Its a few people that only see pictures of it spreading all the hate on the internet

Man, tough crowd lol.

I personally still have mixed feelings about the 86 bumper. Some days I love it, other days all I see is shark face. I still have the bumper itself but I haven't been very impressed by any of the lip options that have been released for it yet. I think the BRZ bumper is much cleaner overall, and I do have my eye on a lip for it but I'm taking some time before I pull the trigger.

As far as the hood goes - I got it mainly to match the trunk. After the 4th time retaping the FiveAxis spoiler and it still coming off, I opted for the full trunk so I wouldn't have to deal with double sided tape on the car. I figured it would be a bit odd with just the carbon trunk so I bought the hood with it Athough now that I think about it, it is starting to look a bit like my brother's old tC.

The steering wheel, well, I like Vertex wheels so

Do the wheels rub at all? Those are some nice specs for the narrow body.

Taken from the meaty tire thread:

Front is maxed out with all collars in, rear has tons of room to go. The rear coilover is mounted on the bottom hole of the lower control arm mount. 0 preload all around.

Fenders are rolled all around and the ebrake bracket had to be bent for clearance. Not sure if I would've been able to clear the fenders without the roll, didn't try
No rubbing except for hard dips, can probably be prevented with stiffening up the dampening a bit but I'm comfortable with how it sits.

I'm actually really liking the 17 86 bumper over the BRZ bumper.

At least get a Toyota badge if you're gonna rock a BRZ bumper, this IS a Toyota, after all.

Should've stayed with the old bumper and hood.
