Although nonetheless my catback was pretty damn loud already!

@elBarto yeah, def cold starts are brutal as hell, probably not as mich as yours but still, everyone hears me leaving in the morning!

And like you said, engine sound takes over at around 4500-5000 rpms!
Good to know it's still cruisable, have you done much highway driving yet? Mine is most "annoying" when doing highway driving and wanting to pass someone lol! But i still love it to death though :p

Mine is still loud even though it's tweaked a bit, changed the ignition advanced and the idle controls (should idle at 1400 rpm), but the only it does is the the ignition advanced thingy, the idle went up to 1800rpm for some reason. I need to change the MAF setting at startup but hose aren't defined in the OFT definitions.

I didn't test the highway yet, but if I drive at around 2100 rpm it's completly silent, this is my cop-passing-by-mode .
Cruising at 3000rpm (around 120km/u in a MT in 6th gear) the exhaust is noticeable (not loud, you just know it's there) and could become irritating for passengers on a long drive.
Offcourse if you press the go-faster pedal everybody notices the exhaust

Yup, that's pretty much exactly how it is with me too now Although i think if i'd change out the frontpipe it might get taht tad little too loud so i don't know if i should risk it over time... Only thing i might change over time is the overpipe, just to clean it up a bit under there & to get rid of the restriction of the stock one
Thanks for the explanation man!

Yesterday I finally found it to adjust my cold start properly.
It's now quite silent, start-up idle is max 1400rpm.
I think my neighbors will be happy now

My settings:

Idle control isn't necessary, only "Ignition post start" and the MAF correction (especially those 2) will make it a silent car during start-up.
You can play around with "Ignition post start" (stock = -15), some say '-8' is the best, others claim '-4' or '0' is even better.
For me '-8' is the best, got some funky stuff with '0', could be different with your car.

Attached is a Modified OFT v2 definition file for a A00G CalID.
You need to load this to be able to modify the MAF corrections, the original from Shiv are missing those tables.
This can be used for Stage1 and Stage2 roms.

*warning*
Remove all other defintions from RomRaider to be safe.
Only load this definition with a V2 OFT A00G rom.
Remove the *.txt extension code from the file
(filename must read ' RR_ZA1JA00G.xml')
Attached Files
File Type: txt RR_ZA1JA00G.xml.txt (802.0 KB, 90 views)
