I ordered a '23 BRZ Limited in MGM on May 17th with an initial estimate of October. Delayed to November and first delivery date was the 14th. Delivered Nov 19th and picked up on the 21st.

Took delivery last Friday!

Totally caught me off guard! Sales Manager called not to say he has the VIN but to say the car has arrived!

Coming from a 2017 WRX. Man the BRZ drives so much better!

Hijacking this thread to say that my Northern California dealership just received an allocation or two with April delivery dates if anyone is still looking. Offering them for MSRP.

I put an order in last Thursday.

For anyone in SoCal, Subaru Kearny Mesa and El Cajon both were taking orders and said it was MSRP, no add-ons.

I called every Toyota dealer in the area (over 15) and none were selling at MSRP.

What's your estimated delivery date?

Mine is scheduled for March 2023, but Subaru will likely announce 2024 BRZ in April (based off last year's announcement), which is almost making me just want to hold off until summer and get a 2024 instead, with whatever the next model-year brings.

Yup, March. $500 refundable deposit so not too worried. If either Subaru or Toyota come out with a green color for the 24 I know what I am doing.

Update:
Well, the dealer got their allocation for January (on Dec 15th), and they said that my car is NOT on there! Nobody knows why. The dealer's owner personally called SOA to find out what is going on. Now they told me it should definitely be included in their February allocation (I will find out approx. Jan 13th) I'm so annoyed at this point.
So if it's built in February, best case scenario will be to get the car some time in March. That means, at best, I get my car after waiting 14 months! I think I set a new record for a darn Subaru.

The crazy part is that I can't find a single BRZ or GR86 within driving distance that has the same/similar spec, nor can I find any dealer that's willing to give the car for MSRP (I absolutely refuse to go even a penny higher, and pricing so far has been at 10 to 17% over MSRP for cars coming in, in about a month). So my options are now limited to a wait and see approach, or just give up and buy a used Cayman S. For now, I'm taking the wait and see approach, but if track season rolls around, and I don't have a car to replace my track car, I will have to reconsider all options.

The first new car I purchased was a 1986 Mustang GT, and have been buying cars very often since then, and I have NEVER seen anything like this in my life! I also have always paid under INVOICE (not under MSRP) for all my cars. This will be the first time in my life that I paid MSRP for a car (willing to flex due to unique circumstances). Well technically it will probably be around $660 under MSRP, because I ordered a 2022 model at MSRP, but now it's a 2023 model, and the price went up about $660.

I bought. 981 cayman in august. Love it, but no tracking for me. But I still get all the emails and updates from various websites and the cayman prices are softening for sure. But obviously the BRZ will be much cheaper as a track toy with parts and maintenance. Good luck.
