I really love the different fitments so far and the blog write ups, but I didn't see any information on this combo besides no rubbing. I am new to the platform, so I have been looking around for more information. However, I haven't seen many people running 17x9 +38s on the 2nd gens. I want to run something similar and was hoping that I could have a couple questions answered.

1. How much camber is there on the front and rear?

2. Was the rear camber from natural camber from lowering, a LCA, or a LCA and UCA together?

3. Would I need to trim the rear tab?

Thank you so much.

1. How much camber is there on the front and rear?
-3.5 front here, -2.8 rear.

2. Was the rear camber from natural camber from lowering, a LCA, or a LCA and UCA together?
We have LCA + RUCA on this car.

3. Would I need to trim the rear tab?
Our rear tabs are trimmed on this car; we recommend doing so to run this size.

Option 1: For us, compensating with a smaller sized tire, i.e. 245/35/18 or 245/40/18 allows 18x9.5 +40 to work on the street. This is a mild-stretch on an 18x9.5 width tire, but in our opinion it is still usable. We would not go any narrower than a 245 sized tire on an 18x9.5, as the stretch would become substantial if we went any smaller, leaving the inner and outer lip of the wheel dangerously exposed. Contrarily, a 255 or a 265 section tire would cause minor rubbing or require cutting of the rear fender at certain ride heights or full compression, unless further suspension modification is performed (See Option 2 below) or fender modification (See Option 3). We do indeed have clients running this size and they have not cut the rear fender flare. It has been reported that they have not experienced any rear rubbing issues when taking the aforementioned measures of compensating with a smaller sized tire (245/40/18). This is likely the most cost-effective route.
Just to confirm, with a 18x9.5+40 and a 245/35/18 tire, it will fit without trimming anything AND without rear upper camber arms?

Last but not least, can you point me in the right direction for the recaro mounts as well as base sliders? From my research, Recaro offers the rails and side mount but not the base.

Up next, we just got a shipment of #systemspec Volk TE37SL in the coveted 18x9.5 +40 5x100, Concave Face spec. We have been waiting for these for quite some time.

First up - 18x9.5 +40 5x100 Dash White. We will be pairing this with the all new Yokohama Neova AD09 in 255/35/18 on our car. Teaser pics.

We will also have more colors incoming on our final shipment. I have a few more Graphites in-stock but I chose to go with White for this project as it'll contrast nicely with the D4S paint. I will likely switch to another color once they touch down (Mag Blue, Pressed Double Black, Diamond Black, Matte Black, Formula Silver, Nardo Gray, Blast Bronze, and a few others.)

Enjoy the pics.

That new new, for all of the 17" wheel aficionados.

TE37SL 17x9.5 +45 5x100
System Motorsports Sizing
Concave Face
Final TE37 to utilize the classic OG Mold.
Various colors available incoming on our Winter/Spring shipment.

More details + photos updated on our blog as well!

As pictured with 245/40/17 tires, 3mm front spacer for inner suspension clearance. This makes 17x9.5 +42 effectively up front, 17x9.5 +45 rear.

New week means new setup.

Enkei NT03+M Limited Batch in "SBC" Special-Brilliant Coating
Size: 18x9.5 +40 5x100
Tires: 255/35/18 Yokohama AD09
Alignment: -3.5 F, -2.8 R. I am running a 3mm front spacer for a bit more inner clearance at full lock but not necessary. Certain aftermarket suspension may require a spacer depending on if a progressive or linear spring is used. This makes the fronts an effective 18x9.5 +37, rears 18x9.5 +40.
Rears are shaved.

These wheels are cost-effective relative to the TE37 setups, and weigh in at approx ~19lbs per wheel. Twin-valve design to allow for compatibility with factory TPMS while adjusting tire pressure.

Now available and ready to ship / pickup. Wholesale inquiries welcome!

Hey! Running the same setup currently for my track BRZ, figured I might be able to add some info too.

I'm running -3.8 front and -2.8 rear, rear tab trimmed. No rubbing even on hard hits at the track.

I have only RLCA, but would recommend starting with rear upper first since it provides better clearance. With rear upper you might be able to get away with -2.5ish because it'll tuck in more, or -2.8 with no tab trimming.
