Replaced my falling apart side brake boot.
Scion really skimped on the quality of this part .. the Subaru "leather" is much better quality and thicker. That red stitching adds some much needed color to the center console area.

Morning car wash. Also tossed on the mirror. Wide angle warps my brain a little
when I quickly stare at it Did a coating decontamination wash to get hydrophobics back, also removed some water spotting/mineral deposits. Water sheeting test after I finished https://i.imgur.com/KGup2kw.mp4 |

Installed the GCS Shark Fin, I should've set the 3m tape all the way to the edge. I don't like how the base was flat because the roof has a slope.
Installed new doorstops to stop the door shutting on me. Found 2 sources of rattles whenever I accelerated/braked: Used a cheap endoscope from aliexpress taped to a magnetic stick to find that black bolt in there ~

I found a used TRD intake at a good price. After removing a thick layer of oil/grease/grime it looks decent.

Well, I tried installing SPC rear toe-arms to go with the LCAs, but no go. I’ve got the tools - sockets, breaker bar, jacks and jack stands, hammer… but I don’t have impact tools, the thing would just not pop off. And you only have so much space to raise the hammer. I’ll just need to take it to a shop. I installed the SPC LCAs last year, those weren’t too difficult aside from more bolts. The camber is too high for a daily driver / windy road car after lowering.
There are plenty of videos showing how to install aftermarket toe-arms, so I’m that’s nice. And I did learn a bit more about the stock toe adjustment - barely any!

Not sure how close you are to Fremont but Rishie at AutoRnD could probably help you out.

Maybe some kind of inverse-jack-clamp type of thing would help. Clamp onto the bottom and push the bolt through.

They also have this type of separator. Same idea, put some tension on it and whack the top with a hammer. https://www.harborfreight.com/3-4-qu...hoCoJMQAvD_BwE

Haha. That’s an interesting idea. A kind of help me out for a few buck or a few beers, maybe as a group. My friends are not brute force-inclined, or live in other states. Baby is only 24 months, so no help yet I know one key factor is safety.. double checking jack-stands, putting a wheel under the car as an emergency back-up, knowing when to give up before it gets dark. I did have a car friend when I originally bought the car 10 years ago when I put in my springs and cat-back.

Maybe I’ll try again soon. Yeah, it shouldn’t be difficult. Need to get an alignment very soon after of course.
