Yes waiting for more info. I auto cross my AT. Looking to improve launches.
But this will come at price. It will bump the car into CSP. My wallet is already crying at the thought.

Over the next few days I will post some videos. Here are the mods that were added. High Stall Torque Converter from South Side Performance. The factory stall is around 2450, the new stall is almost 3100 rpm. I also replaced the Valve Body with a Stage 1 from South Side also. With the combination of both I am able to launch harder and faster! Hitting 40mph+ in first gear and it barks the tires going into 2nd. I have never drove an auto with this type of shifting. If you are educated aboit transmissions you know that the harder it shifts the transmission lasts longer. I am testing old tunes and will be getting a new one also. Videos will be posted also. I want to thank @sspkris for the opportunity to test and have an input into the R&D. If you want faster and harder shifts with an amazing stall contact South Side!

Any idea on the cost of the valve body? This is great stuff.
The only drawback, for me, is it moves the car into CSP from street and STX

But for the AT, it will make it more competitive. LOT of tough competition in CSP. Lightened cars, interior gutted, AC & stereo removed. Just to be competitive.

Im not familiar with the rules of autocross. As far as cost, the Torque Coverter is being massed produced and is available on their website. The valve body is still under R&D but is real close to the production stage. Their is going to be a couple different stages on the VB. It's up to you on how aggressive shift you want to which one you would want to get.

Now this still being my DD, what is your impression of the full setup for everyday use?
I ask this because I had modded my STI quite a bit. Which made it not a very good DD. Trying to avoid that this time around.
But the car needs the trany work.

What he said ^^^^

I'm curious if it shifts hard every time or if it's just when you are aggressively shifting high in the rev band and WOT or? I think I would like it either way, but it would factor into my decision on the stg of valve body I would want for my DD car.

Thanks again for being the lab rat on this. The community appreciates it!! I'm very excited to see these videos and read your impressions for the AT modifications you have.

Im not going to be able to do the videos today because of the rain. To answer your question about a DD, the stage 1 will work good. It shifts hard from 1st to 2nd no matter where the throttle is. From 2nd on they are firm but and on point but not as hard as 1st. The VB is still in its R&D and the shift stiffness will be perfect prior to production.

I cannot wait to build this AT tranny.. did you install the VB and torque converter yourself or did you take it to a shop?

I have a Master Transmission Mechanic that put everything in. I was there and learned a hell of alot. The VB isn't hard to install however the TC will take more time and knowledge of this particular transmission.

Posted in the other thread. Excited for you. This modification looks great to put the power down in the AT cars.

This combination is exactly what I have been missing. It makes me smile until I go into 2nd then your ass puckers and hope you keep it between the ditches! The lanes don't matter, it is the ditches that will getcha. Can't wait to test out the Stage 2. 2 is definitely not for a DD unless you dont mind looking like you have a spasm when the car shifts through 1st all the way to fourth.
