I've "sort of" enjoyed the Watch Dog games, although the fall into the "open world a little too repetitive and we can't quite get driving right" realm. The new one sounds interesting. I like the idea that character's actions can have fatal consequences, but doesn't end the game, you just continue as someone else.

Yeah, I know, nothing is set in stone until something gets released but there are different levels/reliability of rumour. This guy (I've been watching his channel for a few months) seems to have good sources. I am a little excited. Not because I am an AMD fanboi, just that I like to see the underdog win every now and then, in any competition.

I am looking forward to play Cyberpunk 2077. But I don't have an RT GPU. Do you think my 1080Ti will enable all the eye candy the game can offer?

Well no because as you've said you don't have a ray tracing capable gpu. BUT from the clips I've seen so far comparing RT on and RT off I haven't been that impressed. My impression is that RT can/might add just a small amount of eye candy that does absolutely nothing to the enjoyment (or lack there of) of a game.

I have a 1080ti as well. I am wanting to upgrade but it is unlikely that will happen before Watch Dogs Legion comes out. This concerns me not at all. I still get to play the game regardless of how the reflections look.
Game play > graphics.

I will first try my 1080Ti with the game then. It still has very good performance otherwise even at 4K.

I've never told this to anybody before and it's unlikely I will mention it again but 47 days to go.

I have a regular 1080 and it plays well at 4k too. Granted, I don't really have any particularly visually taxing/modern games that I play.

I have played Witcher 3, Fallout 76, and Wolfenstein series games in the last year. 4K was good enough at highest settings. But none of them is a very recent game either.

I didn't know 8k was becoming common place. But I think I can't notice that improvement on a small screen. What do you think?

It's not.

I was being sarcastic/flippant when I posted.
I think 8k is just an Nvidia marketing ploy to help sell their high end cards. There are very few 8k screens about and even fewer games that support 8k. I don't think I could make a case for it if I tried.

Wait a sec.

Do you mean your pc is bottlenecked by your cpu or something else is bottlenecking your cpu?

A week ago I had an exciting experience of playing my usual computer games on a huge 49-inch monitor. I must admit that it is absolutely different from playing on a 20-inch display. It was quite different from what I had before it can be compared to playing WoW with the help of skycoach https://skycoach.gg/wow-boost and without it
