The tune you are referring to, N10C, is "calid hacked" to work with OFT. Now that you have a Tactrix you should only use native roms (NOT hacked), since the hacked ones confuse EcuFlash.

So, you should either flash your native stock rom, N10C, or a K00G tune from OFT.
When flashing with EcuFlash, you can use the definitions I recently posted in this thread (post #948). Those definitions work with both N10C and K00G files.
You don't not need to convert the OFT RomRaider definitions to EcuFlash format.
Don't forget to correct the checksums in EcuFlash.

Hi all, new here and new to flashing. I've been struggling with getting an OFT OTS tune to work in ecuflash. I was able to read my stock rom, a ZA1JB01C. I'm trying to flash a v4.03 stage 2+ because I recently installed a catless header. I've tried all the relevant xml and 32bit base files I've been able to find including the ones mrjj posted on the last page. I mostly get visibly corrupted tables, but sometimes I cant even open any tables. I can view the OTS rom in romraider with the OFT definitions and everything looks fine. Is this OFT tune one of the calid hacked roms? I'm using a B01C OFT tune. It seems like a definition issue, but I'm running in circles here. Any help is appreciated.

OFT V4 B01C tune is actually an A01G tune internally

If your using tactrix just flash an A01G version tune as they are not hacked ues A01G tune and defs

B01C car is usa\canada they have full evap emmissions system fitted. A01G is a euro\australian car they dont have full evap emmisdions system.

If you put a B01C rom in an euro\australian A02G car then its going to get a few DTC error codes re the missing evap system.

will work the other way round though ie putting an A02G in aB01C car will work fine as AA02G doesnt care about evap emission s system

Thanks for the response, but I'm having the same issue after switching over to A01G files. Using the metadata zip that mrjj posted recently. I can't open any tables in ecuflash, but everything looks fine in romraider. I tried using the OFT xml and the rom wouldn't open at all (in ecuflash).

Below is the relevant part of my log. The last line doesn't make sense to me, does this look normal?

[21:20:28.759] opening rom file C:/Users/bshak/Downloads/Stg-2-Plus-v4.03-LC-FSS-ZA1JA01G.bin
[21:20:28.847] ZA1JA01G (0 tables) inheriting 32BITBASE (1237 tables)
[21:20:28.887] 1310720 byte image read.
[21:20:31.549] using metadata XML ID ZA1JA01G from file C:/Users/bshak/Desktop/EcuFlash/rommetadata/subaru/BRZ/ZA1JA01G.xml

ecuflash and romraider defs are completly different not interchangeable

just use A01G tunes and defs, ecuflash comes eith A01G def

edit in romraider flash with ecuflash

@steve99 just to clarify - you won't need the definitions converted from RR to ECUFlash only if we are flashing the ROM? Since if we are able to create flash-only definitions for stock ROMs which aren't defined, and we aren't editing the ROMs in ECUFlash?

I'm seeing people doing the RR to ECUFlash conversion before flashing to their ECU but based on your instructions at first page it's not required.

you dont need to convert rom
just edit in romraider then just use ecuflash to flash only

I guess I should've been more clear, I was using the OFT xmls in romraider, in ecuflash I was using the metadata zip that mrjj posted here.
I got it working with a def from the github link in the first post of the thread. Thanks for all the help.
