JDM BRZ HALOS

This discussion has come up many times. How to wire the "halos" "hawkeyes" "whatever" aka parking lamps to come on when the ignition is on. So far Ive seen no real results or successes in isolating the lights. And im not about to start clipping wires. Haha

I feel like it was an oversight by subaru, because lets be honest, they look really cool.

So, I have a question for those that are driving an actual JDM BRZ. In numerous Japanese Subaru ads ive seen them come on when the ignition does. Is this true or is it cleaver marketing by subaru? The video illustrates my point.

If you pay attention to the video, the tail lights are also on... Meaning the car has the parking lamps on.

So, basically, it's just like the USDM BRZ.

After further inspection I see what you mean. However, the side marker lights are not and are functioning as turn signals only. Anyone know what part/wiring configuration does this exactly? I mean, the JDM and USDM light wiring can't be all that different. Its got to be a simple hardware difference to keep production cost low.
