It did. That was probably half the issue though. It was temperamental at best. Was pretty much a get running, drive a few weeks and flip to buy next project car though so I never did a deep dive to find out why it would never stay adjusted.

Until of course the temperature or humidity changed, the wind changed direction, a bird flew over or you sneezed while turning left and you had to adjust it all again.
You owned Chrysler products. They were a thing all their own.

This so reminds me of how old I am. The wife and I were talking the other day about cars, and I told her I've never been on a track with a car with a computer. When we talked "tune up", you actually got dirty and smelled like gas. No one heard of ABS. So different world now. I don't know which I like better.

The thing they all had in common was they were old and abused when I got them.

I just talk more about the Mopars because they were my favourites

It's the same but different. I like ABS when it rains.

When I used to work on motorcycles I had boxes of different jets and needles for different carbs. Offset timing keys. Powervalve springs. New plugs for doing chops. It's still foreign to me to do a log, hook up laptop, make change, relog.

I don't smoke many. I used to smoke 4 dozen or so a year. Now it is down to maybe a dozen a year. It's usually just a camping thing for me anymore.

Back in the day, timing adjustment was easy - just move the lever -

(jest let the young-ens figure that out -

I get what you mean but when considering the difference between tune-up, and tune, engines haven't changed that much. I still get plenty greasy.
