It's the human condition -- we are especially excited to see that number and pay attention to it, while other numbers we don't quite care about. In my experience, I have noticed that 86F is displayed a lot more than 85F or 87F.

The record high for anywhere in Florida was 109 degrees F, set in 1931.
Now, fess up ...... where was your car when it was 116 degrees F. Ahhhh...... maybe you figured in the 110% humidity ya'll get .... (yep, still a slow day in Puyallup ..... ) humfrz |

LOL it always reads way high when facing the sun but quickly cools down to around 99ish once I get moving.

I have definitely noticed that my temperature gauge reads high compared to other cars...I wonder where the sensor is located/ maybe the car being so low is the issue i.e. its reading heat trapped in the engine bay
