There were two frs' (including mine) and a brz.

The course was a lot of fun and had some challenging sections.

It was great to see how other frs/brz perform at autox.

I hope to see more of you at CDC events

I had the dark blue brz. The lot was sandy and I was on stock tires. No grip.

I was the other FR-S owner (red one). Things felt really loose in the morning but seemed a bit better in the afternoon when things warmed up a bit. That said, I struggled with a fair amount of understeer in the afternoon. Need to look into adjusting my tire pressure. Still, it was a lot of fun and I got to ride in this, which is still one of my dream cars.

Here's a video from my best run:

Wish I hadn't had to work. Never ran a car like this but would love to try.

Why didn't they use the bottom lot too?

There's been issues in the past with the bottom lot and those concrete islands. I've been at autocrosses at Bowie where (stupid) people have hit those islands or hung their cars on them.

The SCCA rules (even though they don't run on that lot, some other clubs use their rules) state that the course has to be X distance (50ft?) away from hard, hittable objects.

Those islands do suck, but it's possible to get cars slowed down enough to make if safely through there. I understand their concern if they have to cater to the insurance, but it makes the lot SO small.

I agree. Idiots wreck it for the rest of us. I've personally seen a new BMW M6 straddling an island after trying to save a power-on oversteer slide. Waiting for the tow truck really hampered the afternoon session.

I was running 40psi front and 36 psi rear. I still had an understeer issue, but that is fixed with throttle.

I'm hoping I can make it to this lot for the event on the 13th.

I checked my pressure when I got home and it was at 30 all around, so fixing that should help.

The first autox I went to, I was at 32 psi all the way around and the front tires were rolling over onto their sidewalls.

This caused a lot of understeer and is also terrible for your tires/safety.

I was really surprised at how much pressure I needed to add to the stock front tires to stop them from rolling over.

40psi in the front was the first pressure where I felt that the tires were not rolling over too much. I do want to play with higher pressures. The tire says max pressure is 50 psi.
