If you really want to go custom then do what I did with my 2017 Miata. I had to make the carpet myself and then added red leather seats

I want to keep this car for a good time, so keeping it looking more updated would be amazing.

you'd need to start by stripping the plastic dash out and figuring out where the crash structure starts and stops behind it--because i wouldn't modify that on my own car, no matter how much you offered to pay me.

good luck! i haven't seen any custom dashes that don't look like something out of a Handyman magazine.
