Agree with this. For E85 use, anything that's GF-5 rated or higher since it was designed with E85 in mind (among other things). I use Mobil 1 0W30 AFE personally. It's GF-6A rated and fairly cheap.

During track season when I'm not using E85, I tend to use a 30 weight with better HTHS protection, specifically Castrol Edge 5W30 LL (3.5 HTHS, 11.6 viscosity at 100c).

I was just answering Yosh's questions. I don't run a GF-5 in my car with E85. 300V actually states "Suitable for alcohol based fuel with shortened drain interval" but my intervals are already short since I just change the oil every year anyway. I think last year my car did a little over 2k miles.

Ah got it, I see the conversation history now. Regardless that'd be my easy/simple recommendation. Makes sense to use oil that meets tests designed for E85 use if you're using E85 haha.

In your case with short OCI's and a specific manufacturer's recommendation for ethanol use, 300v seems like a good choice as well.
