This antenna needs to go!
I was hoping that is what this thread was about. It's 2014 for crying out loud. Can we let terrestrial radio die already? And Satellite radio around here doesn't work well with all the trees along the side of the road. What I don't understand is the need to put an antenna mount on the body of the car. Even my 2012 Corolla had the antenna built into the rear windshield.

I know there are some here for sale, but I'm just worried about the radio reception.
I have the beatsonic sharkfin v2 on my frs, I was actually thinking it was gonna have bad reception versus the oem one but very surprisingly it is actually the same. Go for it!

Here's a picture of what it looks like installed, btw. Name: uploadfromtaptalk1403793611544.jpg

Anyone know of any aftermarket rear windshield antennas that mount up to BRZ's AM/FM/SAT?

Has anyone made more progress, updates? I would like to delete the antenna and have the roof wrapped. Any ideas on antenna plug in from in the car?

I'm not fond of the stock antenna either but, IMO, just plugging it or the hole looks just as bad, if not worse, unless you wrap the roof after plugging the hole.

IMO, the Beat Sonic shark antenna is the best alternative.

A little pricey, but this eBay vendor, not affiliated with him, will take less then his asking price.

He also carries other colors.

Do you know what size these rubber plugs are by any chance?
