Thumbs up Diode Dynamics Replacement Fog Light Kit

So I just purchased the whole upgrade kit from Diode Dynamics, and I absolutely love it! Has anyone else tried these yet? I was searching up here for the best replacement options for the weak fog lights, and I saw where a lot of people were using the housings off of other Subarus. Then I came across Diode Dynamics, and I was looking for brighter LEDs, but low and behold they had full on replacement foglight housings with glass fronts so they won't melt with true HID conversions. I now have matched 6k HID in both my Headlights and fogs and they look great. I also had them throw in some license plate LEDs and they are a nice touch as well. Here are some pics:

I just figured I would post considering some guys were having to do some little modifications to get the replacements to work, and these were an easy swap, and actually look better than stock, IMO. The housing pair with H11 bulb and adapter were $100, then I just bought a pair of HIDs instead to swap in. Hope it helps.

I hope the newer versions hold up better.

The old one I got from them in 2013 (1 year warranty) fell apart, the base separated from the LED housings twice. Considering there was no glue or adhesive of any kind I can see, I can only chalk it up to poor supplier construction.

I ended up putting it back to stock.

I will keep my eye on it for that. Looking back, was there anything you could have done to prevent it from happening before you installed them? Maybe I can try it out. They seemed pretty durable though when I looked at them. Thanks for the heads up.

Have you checked out the morimoto xB's?
They come with a 10 year warranty. I've been debating on getting them or diode I guess morimoto it is after reading this.

Our Luxeon LED housings are produced by Esuse, who also manufacture's as the "Morimoto" housings

We've made significant changes to our product lineup since 2013 as LED technology continues to improve. The SMD models have been discontinued for months now.
