Nope. Still looks like a normal sedan with a scoop on it.
The more is see of the second gen twins the worse they look!
They made the BRZ look like the WRX should and the WRX as the BRZ should. They were obviously very confused.

I don't mind bland as much as the excessive amount of flat black plastic cladding across the whole car. Just as the wheel arches didn't bother me as much the rear bumper cover seems to have more cladding every time I see it. It's like Subaru looked at 90s Pontiac Grand Am and said "That, but without paint."

As for the new twins, if I were to consider one it would be a GR86. Although then I would have an existential crisis over my online handle if I didn't own any Subarus. Even though everyone who isn't into cars just assumes I'm both in to Scooby-Doo and smoke a lot of weed.

I have zero interest in the new chassis. I would consider swapping in the motor if had to. I'd make new reluctors for the spinny parts, and whatever else to use the same brain, a la Solidsnake's genius.

That dude was an amazing DIY’er. Too bad he had to get pissy and take his ball and glove home.

There's only so much room in one brain. Something had to give.

Yeah you got me there lol.

I am still working on actively trying not to expose myself to things that piss me off.

How is the new chassis less appealing than the old one other than how it looks?

I'm sure we could come up with a list, but I don't care about them.

Ya, I hear that. However, sometimes I just get "trapped".

For example, night before last, I cruised up to Chick-fil-a about 8:15 (past rush hour) to pick up "dinner". I zipped into the line with only one car in front of me. Ah , ha, a quick run, I thought.

When I got up to the pay booth there was this pick-up truck with California Gov plates and the driver was in a heated argument with the young girl cashier. OK, I waited, patently, although it was about 85 degrees and my AC was not on.

As I moved up, I was trapped between a car behind me and the same ass hole arguing with the girl at the pickup window. Off to my left was a brick wall, off to right was a BMW with it's bright hi beam lights on (you know, the kind that you can feel the heat coming off of them).

Off to my right, in the parking lot was about 10 kids that looked to be gang members, milling around two cars, yelling at each other. I was ah feared that the A-hole in the pickup truck that was yelling at the manager at the pickup window was going to go nuclear and he was going to start shooting.

THAT would have triggered the gang members to open fire at everyone in all directions. As I eased my right hand into the pouch that holds my loaded, trusty .45 ACP, I thought of all the things that I would have done 20 years ago - well, OK maybe 40 years ago.

I eased my hand off of my weapon and waited. Soon the a-hole in the pickup moved on and the gang members jumped into their smoked windows, dark colored sedans and sped off.

I got my sandwiches and went home. I have decided to NOT follow the news feed on my computer so much -

Geebus hum. I was mostly just referring to not participating in or engaging when I know I am just going to be pissed in the end.

Also, fuck that guy. Stop holding everyone else up and go inside and handle it like an adult.

For some reason this reminds me of you.
