I didn't even pay attention when I was doing it. I literally stopped by the dyno, pulled up the last Dyno Run we did, selected SAE and moved the smoothing down to 0 and snapped an Iphone pic because the dyno computer printer is jacked, I didn't have a flash drive to save it on, and the wifi wasn't working so I couldn't email it to myself.

Look at the far left- Does that look smooth to you?

I said it in another thread and I'll say it again. The dyno numbers don't mean anything, the dyno is a tuning tool to make the car run better. Please don't get hung up on SAE, STD, Smoothing, MPH, RPM, etc. We're not trying to break records or anything, we're just happy with the way the car runs. I don't have time to sit around and modify dyno charts and manipulate numbers, the only reason I posted that is because I caught bs for posting STD numbers.

Tut, when you get your car done, dyno it however the hell you want, I promise not to give you crap about what correction factor you use. Just don't use uncorrected and make 375 lol.

I really don't care about the numbers. This isn't a pissing contest, they are what they are. I care more about getting useful information out of a dyno plot. That means it should have HP, torque, RPM, boost, and AFR. I don't even care about correction factor or smoothing, but the industry standard is the Dynojet with Smoothing of 5 and SAE correction. I like to look at more than the pretty numbers at the top of the plot, and I didn't give you any BS for posting STD numbers with a Smoothing of 5.

I chose smoothing 0 to take a picture of because Supermassive's dyno plot was 0 smoothing. I normally would use 5.

I know you didn't give me any bs, after I read my post I realized that it sounded like it was directed at you, but it's not, and I apologize for making it look that way.

We're all on the same team here, in my opinion. We have common goals- making safe power on an engine we know nothing about as far as longevity goes.

Wow, guys...just wow. First off we all understand that dynos are tuning tools, we get that. The whole reason I asked about CF was so that I had a way to better compare my numbers to yours. It's incredible how the full blown kit makes more power than all the other kits, so I wanted data taken as close to how mine is posted to get a better feel for the data so that I could look at it when I turn up the boost on mine. Full blown has posted numbers greater than the average from the get go, so now we all want to know how. That's where things stand at the moment, there are a bunch of people with kits now from all these different shops and yes we will be comparing ours to the others, especially when one is making quite a bit more power.

This speculation is how forums work, as a community we just want to know more. Also for the sake of argument, I have found that at least where I am located uncorrected runs yield the lowest numbers...dunno why but that's how my data shows.

I personally think it's the magical pixie dust that comes with the kit.

Believe it or not, the idle is going to get quieter. Mine sounds stock at idle. But of course when you open her up she sounds how she's supposed to. You can never go wrong with the Perrin- it's proven, has a good sound, and the fit/finish is great.

Yup, a great tuning tool. It's good to understand what people are accomplishing out of certain modifications, but people take numbers way too seriously.
