Megan racing coilovers are frowned upon by most people.

If all you are going to do is cruise and have your car be a strict roller (no backroads, spirited, track or auto x driving) then megans will probably work. Otherwise I have been told to stay far far away from anything Megan.

The spring rates seem OK. 6 kg/mm (front) and 6 kg/mm (rear).

For that kind of price, I wouldn't expect much... regarding damper quality, materials, surface finishes, coatings, etc.

If you're OK with doing a bit more maintenance and aren't planning to track the car... I've heard positive things from @Do_Boy about his set. Since you live in Florida, corrosion shouldn't be a major concern. For a show car or casual cruising, they'll do just fine.

Recommendations: ST Suspensions or Fortune Auto

The factory setup and the factory upgrades are more expensive than Megans... Why do you think that is

They're cheap for a reason and frankly they suck for any platform I've had the misfortune of riding in with their coilovers.

Yes. But are you aware that everything OEM is expensive as shit? Especially anything TRD. So of course it's gonna be more expensive than Megan's.

Of course, but when you can't even buy a decent shock/spring combo for the price the Megan coilovers go for...

The factory spends a hell of a lot of time tuning the dampers. As a general rule, most cheap coilovers run the same valving regardless of application with the excuse that they're "adjustable."

This the first time that I recollect someone requesting coilovers on the basis of their looks. (The coilover's looks. Not the purchaser's.)

I am suggesting with crap damping they will feel stiff and crashy.

This. Stock suspension is actually really good, and most coils under 1k are actually gonna be detrimental to your handling.

Though OP, I somehow doubt that you care

If you want sub 1k coilovers get ST. They ride just about stock when cruising but slightly stiffer when cornering. I love mine .
