Clock spring recalibration.
Has anyone had their clock spring re-calibrated with a dealership? I need to get mine done but the dealer says they need me to pay $130 to inspect it then further charges for labor will be added depending on what I need. I've been looking at ways to do it myself but I just want a ball park on what people have spent doing this. thanks!

When you say "clock spring", what are you actually referring to? I was wondering about the speed sensor being re-calibrated due to taller tires. Is this what you are talking about or nah?

Taking a guess but this usually refers to the electrical connection in the steering wheel that allows the wheel to turn but keep the electrical connections in place.

But thats not something that would need to be "re-calibrated" though unless by re-calibrated he meant "bent out a little". Of course, i don't know. Thats why I asked. lol

If you mean your steering wheel is off an alignment shop can do it. Though I have been told there needs to be a reset of some electronic aid when that happens so I assume that's what OP is talking about?
If so just get an alignment and tell them you need the steering wheel straightened out. |

If it is removed and not installed in the correct position it is getting an incorrect steering angle reading and throws off the traction control.
