"Contracting it out to be built by someone else" like Ford did with the new GT? "Didn't develop the guts" like Lotus Evora S using a Toyota V6 with an Harrop/Eaton supercharger? Or "didn't develop the guts" and "contracting it out to be built by someone else" like Toyota did with the 86/FRS/GT86?

The list can keep going on and on and on from hypercars to econoboxes. Just saying.

Sure except Lotus can barely build or sell a car, period. I'm not hating on them, being realistic.

Well, as you said. Someone else is doing that soooo... but yea, it still gets the Lotus badge for the Lotus design. It’s funny because the car is similar to the Valkarie in many ways, and that is badged an Aston Martin with a Cosworth and Rimac powertrain with a frame built by Multimatic. The disassociation seems to be prevalent.

Great looking design. I think it'll look even better in another color, like red or blue.

I'm obviously affected by wishful thinking, but to that I would say, if they have enough money to pay someone else to build the car, maybe they have enough money to build a car?

My biggest concern is around what engines they'll use. Like a lot of low-end Chinese manufacturers Geely has licensed production of Toyota 1NZ/2ZR engines before so there's an existing relationship there. I'm hoping they stick with Toyota since the "Dynamic Force" line looks pretty nice.

These futuristic electric cars seem like they will dominate hypercars of the future. They may not be as exciting as their V12 counterparts, but the maintenance costs must be soooo much better, and who knows, they might actually get driven.

He's a bit of a tool but I find his clips informative at times.
Claims 0-300km/hour in less than 9 seconds. That made me laugh.

I think it is very well done. There is a lot of attention to details.

I'm pretty sure the most expensive maintenance will be fixing stone chips on the fancy carbon fiber, followed by tires :P I don't want to think about how much money those two will cost.

Reminds me of this episode of South Park where the kids are playing guitar hero. The whole gaming experience allows you to pretend your a real guitarist, but take away the music and all you get are random clicks and clacks.
