Hard to shift out of Park
I recently purchased a Turbocharged 2015 Scion FR-S (Automatic).
I noticed that the shifter is abnormally hard (ie. shifting from park to drive/reverse) and am wondering what might cause that? The car has 32,000 miles on it and I talked to the original owner (owned up to 16,000 miles) who said that it was not that hard to shift when he owned it, but the owner who bought it from the dealer he sold it to, told him about that same issue. Specs: - Full MaPerformance turbo kit - Delicious tuning flex fuel kit - Borla catback exhaust - Open dump wastegate - 350 wheel horsepower - 12 lbs of boost |

Since I don't have an automatic, I'll just guess. Maybe the lock/switch thing on the brake that tells the transmission that the brake is on and it's OK to move out of "park", needs some adjustment. Big help, huh? humfrz |

You might wanna look at shift lock lever. Seems to operate on a pivot. If you want a parts blowout pm your email.

Perhaps sort of random, but given the information. If you're parking on any sort of decent incline, remember to pull the parking brake prior to putting the car into park. Otherwise you're putting undue stress on the parking pawl, which would make it difficult to shift out of park and make a sort of pop sound when you do.
