Subaru FT-86 mule - Autoblog update

Autoblog has some new spy shots of a Subie test mule in action up today... [Update: it turns out that this is not exactly big news - this mule has been photographed before and it is by no means certain that a turbo is onboard.]

Yeah, it's probably the same mule. Here's a link to the older thread:

It's just the same mule from different locations. However, it's good to see them trying really hard testing the model.

lol autoblog still thinks its gona be a AWD.. lol
i like how since last time when it was pointed out that there are no axle bolts on the front wheels, they have centre caps on haha. also WHAT IC i cant see shit.. ???
and why do blogs keep refering to them as 2 different cars? this is probably being tested by toyota and subaru, the same mule.. its based on the impreza chassis hence it looks like a subi right now..

I noticed the caps now as well. I also don't see a FMIC, the only thing I see is an A/C condenser.

Whats the purpose of the hood scoop if it were to have a front mount. This better not be a mustang with fake scoops all over.

When this mule was "originally" spotted there was no scoop, so it wasn't just there.

whether they're testing the functionality of this, or if there is an actual turbo motor in there will only be known when someone jumps infront of the car and snaps pix top down or gets inside that engine bay.

I would say its aerodynamic testing, but that doesnt make any sense as this car's design/plastered parts will not look like the finished model.

So Logically it would say to me, TMIC, and TMIC=TURBO.

Which means this could be my 1st turbo car.

a) it always had the "scoop"

b) it's blocked off, always was, and still is.

The FT-86 would be a beast with that kind of power. The power to weight ratio would be impressive, to say the least.
