The Lucas thing was very contemporaneous here too.
A lot of the cars and motos were primarily export products. They couldn't get rid of Lucas parts fast enough. Lucas cursed us as much as we cursed them. That's why you got the Robins and mobility scooters instead. (and top-hat black cabs. yeah, no, you can have those)

Update on my previous post.
TIL that not only does Fedex standard overnight delivery mean a week, it also means you gotta go pick up your package from the shipping hub yourself.... |

TIL that even though left handed, I suck at using a mouse with my left hand.

Yeah, I was sick and tired of them delaying it. If anyone is curious, a Samsung Q990B soundbar system does fit in an FRS, albeit out of the box and the box flattened. Lol

I can do it, but I have to "think" about it. I keep wanting to push the left button with my index finger, not my middle finger.
Now that I think about it, since I have used my right hand for a mouse for over 30 years, maybe my left hand is like driving an MT because I have to think about it, making it "more engaging"!

I do better using a right-handed mouse with my left hand than using an actual left-handed one.

The earliest programs I would use did not have the option of assigning buttons and mouses (mice?) came only one way, so I've always used a right handed mouse with my left hand. I use right handed scissors with no problem, and I play guitar right handed. I write, throw and spoon my corn flakes left handed.
