It must have been someone else. Last time we went down to whole foods in downtown, we took the prius.

Make sure to rinse the engine, inside and out, with water before going over 1,000 miles. Sometimes those pesky pistons move around, you want to keep them right where they are once you break 1,000 miles.

Sorry for sharing. Unless I am rolling 18's with a Rocket Bunny kit it must be uncool to start a new thread.
Go ahead... Flame on.

lol

There's a lot of debate on proper break in, If I were you, I'd have begin driving it normally from day one (letting it warm as you drive gently until it's up to temp, then drive normally, including frequent full throttle pulls to high RPM), and simply hold off on the hard flogging until after the first preemptive oil change at 1000mi.

Either way, she's a fun little sled. Welcome to the club and enjoy!

I know how it feels though. I haven't been dailying my FR-S because I'm trying to find a route to work that won't ruin the front of my car. =/

Has nothing to do with it. This thread just has zero content. You're basically saying "my car has under 1000 miles, and I can't wait until it has more". OK. Thanks for sharing. I had a cheeseburger for lunch.

Well, my uncle had a rake once \Thread-- It would seem that the 'wait' for the car to hit 1000mi, early oil change (good to get you and your car 'accquainted') is unendingly long.

Yeah, it took me sometime to 'learn' this particluar forum (where/what to post, mastering searching when so many pride themselves on misspells, etc, reading/writing posts that are to be satirical rather than sarcastic...), and as you said, sometimes there is no room for mistakes to be pointed out in an internet-instant.

Just watch out if you decide to go tribal with the interior; wow, that thread is quite vitriolic!
