So that's $2,500 off with the BRZ. I just killed my GR86 order and going to Subaru. This is dumb.

Yah, makes we want to jump to subaru. eventhough i like the way the 86 looks more. The free track days, etc, not very useful to me. 2.5k is very substantial for a car of this price.

I have a lead on a landed BRZ Sport-Tech, but based on what my Toyota guy can offer me on a GR86 the all in pricing gap is about $200 in favour of the Subaru. For $200 I think I'd rather get the duckbill and neptune blue.

The GR is like the new Supra. Thanks for all the work, subaru and bmw respectively. Now our marketing team will now takeover and hype the shit out of something they had little to do with. Go Toyota.
Still good learning, Toyota did go closed deck and make BMW change their core design for reliability on the Supra. Still has the arc blast cylinder liner though if I recall. I like the weight saving concept, but make it serviceable and not a bic lighter for a block. |

The only good thing about the GR86 is that they kept most of the suspension parts of the 1st generation car, while the BRZ used more parts from the Subaru Global Platform (SGP) for a more comfortable and soft ride.
