Not with that catastrophic user interface on the dash.

I am guessing the Audi has that same crappy haptic system the new GTI/R has :P

For me, and anybody else who agrees but not those people who disagree, the only Audi that has been of interest was the original 4.2 liter manual R8. I don't think they've released anything of interest since then.
Pointless post from myself because internet.

Audi has some pretty competitive cars and a great history with Quattro, but I am a bit older for remembering the '80s. STI is history for the moment. We'll need to wait for the new one, but I doubt they can reach the 400hp target internet people are hoping. I believe it will be something similar like the '22 WRX.

My bad, I thought that you’re joking because it is an awd. Tire friction circle still exists on an awd, you may reduce the impact of a bad distribution on the launch, but not during braking and turns.

To be fair almost all of Audi and Subaru’s racing success was on loose surfaces, where a front-heavy car doesn’t suffer from its weight distribution as much.

Audi and Subaru’s AWD road cars are very similar in layout. Transaxle AWD, engine out front mounted longitudinally. They suffer from the same nose-heavy handling on tarmac, they both understeer into next week when over-driven.

There’s also Audi’s success in ALMS with the original Quattro touring car, but that was also a long time ago. Their DTM cars don’t count since they’re purpose-built RWD racing chassis.

it's worth pointing out that the Audi we're discussing here, the RS3, has a transversely mounted engine. Ditto the A3, TT and any other Audi that shares a platform with Volkswagen.

Agreed. As an ex-TT owner I can attest, the understeer is biblical.

Yeah but the TT wasn't AWD right? I think they dial them like this from factory for safety reasons. You don't want to lose the rear of your car while going 250km/h in the Autobahn ...
