i have an sti oil sandwich plate into t fittings in my radiator hoses.

last year at track days in new england summer weather it was helpful but a bit lacking, in a 15-20 minute session i could eventually get the temps into the mid 250s. Running heat on full out the windows did make a difference in taking advantage of the coolant oil cooler.

a bit of backing off would quickly get them into the 230-240 range, maybe a better radiator would help? maybe not. Keep in mind new england is also not exactly a hot climate,

however at autox i felt the coolant sandwich plate was perfect since it would allow for cooling down after runs in the grid while stationary and the oil getting to temp faster at the start of a session.

i was running Pennzoil platinum 5-30 last year, had no issues, may run it again this year, may not.

Can you share any more info on this?
What fitting are you planning to use on the top port for the oil cooler?
I got my ultra radiator and test fitted it a couple of days ago.
This thing is massive.
Its going to be a really tight fit for the top oil hose.
Do you know what sort of threads the ports in the radiator has?
I eyeballed it to 1/2" NPT, but I am not sure.
Skunk2 did not provide any info at all, so this will be a DIY.
I am hoping that I will be able to use a non thermostatic mocal sandwich adapter I already have.
I will have to install it with the fittings pointed against the back, with 90deg fittings.
Hopefully it will be room for it.
My motor is out for a rebuild, so I wont know before I get it back together.

this might be helpful for those of you with the ultra rad

http://www.spencerfabrication.square...relocation-kit

it tilts the rad forward some to help with clearances.

Yeah the oil cooler isn't perfect, but for someone like me who doesn't track my car regularly it's perfect. Keeps the oil in check for bashing on it on the street.

For the track I'd have to run a thicker weight oil and pit when temps got away.

Which is why I said the air to oil coolers are for track users.
I would not even recommend it for casual tracking, once a year.

Ive had a C38 with around 18-19psi on a stock motor for 10k now.. I dont track and i dont personally beat on it daily, ive done alot of pulls, The only issue i have really, is the Auto trans doesn't care for it. Shifting kinda does what it wants, not sure if its the tune, or the power. Sometimes it shifts right away, sometimes i can short shift and the trans shifts 1500-3k rpm later. I do have new Amsoil fluid and looking into the SSP products to get rid of that. I did run through a belt in the first 1k miles but i was running a pulley setup that they told me the belt wouldnt last. the last 9k has been on the same belt with zero issues.

As far as the Ultra Radiator is concerned, when the customer is ready, we are taking it down to hose specialty shop here in vegas and having them make up custom hoses, the guy claims he will have a fitting to fit in there without cutting.. There is not a lot of room but he said he has a fitting that will work.. when we get it done, we will for sure post up what is used

So in a couple weeks I'm installing a c38 with stock fuelling on my auto transmission. So with the stock pulley what psi should I expect the blower to push? I'm going with moto East tune with a 4 bar map sensor. The only reason I ask is it seems everyone is showing different boost levels with the same set up.

@Boofneenee

From what I gathered, the C38 blower will make less boost in the low RPM range compared to the C30 (maybe look at dyno charts). Up top, the C38 will pull much faster. C38 will also require bigger injectors and maybe a bigger fuel pump.

Kraftwerks is currently at step 4b with the BRZ kit, we had to make one revision thus far and the car will be going back to the lab next week. If it passes, generally it takes 4-10 weeks for all the paperwork to go through at which point we will be issued an exemption number.
Dave, would you happen to have an update since there's a bit of skepticism from existing customers if you'll ever get approval.

Might want to tag whoever Dave is.

That quote is from Nov 25 last year, which is 3 1/2 months ago, the process having been started long before that and silent since.

Regardless, some folks were told it was approved. Buuuuuuut, it wasn't...

If they get it soon though, great! Took long enough.

Posted in June.

Bumped on February 4th.

Bumped on March 1st.

Finally decided that I'd waited for CARB long enough.

9 months goes by fast...

Yep, I'm aware of the vendor status.

He's not the only one that uses that account. Jeff Giovino does too.
