I get squeaking and it seems to be coming from the alternator pulley. I confirmed this when I had the belt off swapping the idler pulley thinking it was that. I moved the alternator pulley by hand and replicated the sound - so check and see if it possibly is that.

running the perrin intake, should allow a large enough opening to run a tank in place of the intake air box..

It is a big statement but we know the drivability is key to any tune on any car.

To let everyone know I have updated our tune a bit more. Over the past weekend we were up at Mann-Engineering doing some tunes and testing and spent half a day refining the Innovate Tune even further. We worked on a few more things in the tune to see if there might be room for more power, well guess what their was. If you ask what it is we did, well we prefer not to say because we have been working on it for some time and it takes a moment to even wrap out head around it, but it works well and we are applying these techniques to all our tunes.

Here is the latest revision of the tune 8.70 overlaying 8.64 (which is identical in power to 8.65). The only difference in 8.65 to 8.64 was the switch over on port to direct injection.

The biggest improvement was on the low end, from a dead stop to about 5K RPM. We focused in a lot hear to improve throttle response and add more torque to have more of a table top look versus a slow ramp up in torque. We definitely notice that on that street and makes for a fun drive.

This was tuned on the 75mm pulley (stock headers) and we are not verifying the tune on the 69mm, 91 octane and E85.

Cheers,
William Knose

Excuse my lack of understanding, but wouldn't the sharper rise in torque at the low end make taking off more "sudden/jumpy"?

How'd I miss this...big statement indeed, backed up with what? We have dozens of folks world wide running the sprintex/innovate tune (among nearly every other FI combo) and without melted pistons, plugs, or bad bearings (though nobody is immune). Indeed you do good work from what we hear, but I think your statement over reaches a bit. We've had the innovate setup on our car since the kit was released, and I doubt any other pro tuner has the miles, dyno time, and flash count of our vehicle in tuning this setup. I think the difference at this point is not so much tuner ability, but having the time to fine tune these setups remotely. I think for this reason alone we do "re-tunes" from other tuners more than initial tune sales by a ratio of 3:1 if not more. That means we've "fixed" a tune from just about EVERY vendor on here and elsewhere, even the "world class" ones. Doesn't mean that all bad, some just needed more work than the prior tuner was going to put in.

All that aside no tuner is 100% on every setup 100% of the time (we did indeed have growing pains last year as everyone else did with the PD blower). Nor can one single tuner own the whole market. I think we can market and promote our products without such broad and completely unsupportable statements. That can be left for the tablet types who boast "advantages" over EcuTek

It worked for a bit after he posted it, but it's no longer working. Tapatalk, Chrome, Safari, Firefox...none of them are showing now. If it's working for some of you, you must have it cached.

The image is hosted on his site, which appears to be gone now.
