The Evap codes I've been getting with the other ECM could be related? |

What codes are you getting? Absolutely could be related. I was going to say, for your fuel trims being maxed the AFR is remarkably stable. I was expecting more dramatic fluctuations. That weird stumble it was also bouncing between closed and open loop.

They may be stored codes and not active codes. If you are not getting them currently I don't think it is related. I would just check the simple things as far as leaks first and we can go from there.

The mechanic saw an oil leak on the driver side of the engine (not sure if it’s related to the issue) so we’re ordering the left valve cover gasket and spark plug tube seal to fix this issue and at the same time we’ll check for leaks and maybe swap some coil packs.

It took me a long time to get the seals from USA as they didn’t have it here in UAE and Oman. So I just replaced them and fixed the oil leak and also swapped the coil packs and spark plugs from left to right but nothing changed in the drivability of the car and I’m still getting the same misfire codes P0300 P0301… We checked the exhaust for a possible leak too but couldn’t find anything. Could it be the intake manifold that’s leaking or something else guys?

With weird symptoms, I always rule out a vacuum leak before going to other diagnoses.

I removed and sealed again the air intake manifold but it didn’t change anything. So I just took it today to a garage that’s specialized in sports car but they’re a bit expensive… They checked the car for half an hour and they told me it’s definitely the direct injectors (su00304461) and quoted me 1200usd. What do you think guys *♂️ ?

Update, just removed the port injectors and the direct injectors. DI looked all the same with intact and properly fixed O ring but quite dirty and with carbon built up. The port injectors on the passenger side where I’m having the misfire are both black (way darker than the other side). Took all the injectors to a specialist to have them checked and cleaned and he just told me that the dark injectors indicate a vacuum leak. Now where is this leak I don’t know but I might put a supercharger (sprintex 210) which will sit more heavily than the plastic intake manifold which can be problematic ??
If you guys have any leads where and what to check that would be much appreciated. |

Just double check all of your hoses, connections, and seals when putting it back together. Hopefully, the leak will be fixed during reassembly.

I learnt that the engine uses sometimes more the port and sometimes more the direct injectors depending on the rpms and engine load, so I guess when I was soliciting the engine beyond a certain load at a certain rpm, it starts to use the DI and that’s why the misfire and shaking happen there. I’m getting a new injector soon and will keep this post updated for future reference. |
