Your Car's Current (Final?) Form

My car is over 8 years old now, and I've done pretty much everything I've wanted to her. Intake, exhaust, suspension bits, rims, tint, a few interior mods, a couple spoilers, all the fun stuff. No plans to make it faster (turbo, SC) at this point. Just replaced the clutch/flywheel. Still runs great!

What's left? I have ordered an Intec 3rd Brake Light kit but that won't ship until the end of October. I thought about an ECU tune but for an NA car not sure if the gains are worth it. Maybe a head unit swap for a newer 86 unit. Otherwise, this car is pretty much done.

Take a current pic of your car and post it here, then list the mods or upgrades you still want to accomplish with it. Is it done? Are they ever done?

I'm pretty much done with mine and this platform. 8 years ownership as well and turbo'd for the previous 2 years for a change up.

I'm happy with where it's at now but won't be picking up another twin in the future. My situation has changed and I'd prefer a turbo sedan but if the supra came manual I'd pick that up as a weekend car and drive a beater for daily.

My TOB is acting up once again, changed it out 30k miles ago with the one that came with my southbend clutch. Then I'm having oil leaks from the timing chain cover and the plate.

I'm done with mine. I haven't had the need or desire or anything in particular. All I care about is paying it off and keeping her looking good.

Current and likely final form. Most mods were for track and canyon use (17x9 wheels, BBK, coilovers). Little bit of power (e85 tune, 2017 oem header). Some weight savings and responsiveness mods (LWFW, diff cradle and trans bushings, lighter battery). A couple mods for engine sound (catback, sound tube delete). One for night visibility (xenon headlights).

Overall couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Hit my performance targets I set for it, ie, more than holds its own in the canyons vs friends’ cars (s2000, various Porsches, GTI/R’s, etc.) Love the sound and responsiveness of the car. Low consumables costs at the track. I think it’s pretty much done. I may switch to a GR86 in the next 1-2 years but not in a rush and the major parts should swap over so should be very similar overall.

Last pic was taken Monday
The car is basically done as far as I am concerned.
Header/OP, tune, springs/shocks, alignment, wheels/tires, interior done, front lip.
Car journal Here for full mod list not to pepper the thread with every little detail.

I have a couple things left I'd like to add, an axleback exhaust, side skirts and a rear diffuser/lip, and pedders top mounts.
I am in no rush for asthetic stuff, the axleback is first, then Pedders, diffuser/skirts are up in the air.
Some stickier tires when I wear out the V105s.
It's still my daily so mods are to keep it fun to drive without making it to compromised to be usable every day.

My steering wheel is scratched to hell, and I ordered a leather wheel skin that needs to be stitched on. Planning to DIY it, that will probably be my next project.

Yeah mine’s 8 years old too. I’ve toyed with the idea of getting an STI Short Shifter and maybe a TRD spoiler as my last mods, but will likely leave it. I’ve only done minor mods:

Mechanical:
18x8 TSW Interlagos, +45 offset, Michelin Pilot Super Sports 225/40/R18
STI Pink springs
STI axle back exhaust
Mishimoto silicon inlet tube

Cosmetic:
Cusco “bee stinger” antenna
Modellista red engine cover
STI oil cap
STI battery tie down
Red steering wheel badge overlay
“Subaru” and “BRZ” lettering removed, (debadged)

I might get a 2nd gen down the track or keep this and get a turbo hot hatch as I’ve never owned anything like that before. Either way I’ll be keeping my current gen for a while yet. I’m pretty attached to it, I’d find it hard trading it in or selling it, a bit torn about it actually.

I'm done with mine too. It was a long process of over 5 years with careful selection of parts, fixing the tune when it was needed and sometimes replacing parts that didn't work as expected.

2020 WRB.

I've done some exterior mods (smoked the side markers and back-up lights). May eventually do an off-set black vinyl double stripe (think BMW M5's from Mr. & Mrs. Smith). Will do wheels (probably something graphite colored) when the tires are ready to go and will paint the calipers black this winter. Also would like to paint the spoiler body color, and maybe do black mesh grille.

My interior mods are tint (35%), LED footwell lights, center console armrest, diamond pattern floor mats, all new speakers and a couple of amps.

But the most important mods were fairly easy, cheap and the ones I can't believe not everyone does almost immediately - UEL uncatted headers, OFT tune (E85) - oh and remove that stupid sound tube (great firewall hole for upgraded audio power) and clutch spring.
