Aftermarket Coolant Overflow Tank Options

Currently I have a Koyorad & Full Blown Fan shroud w/ SPAL fans installed and I have my OEM coolant overflow reservoir rigged up by an L bracket with a couple nuts & bolts.

I was wondering if there's any aftermarket coolant overflow options that don't hook up to the OEM fan support/rad support as I want to clean up my engine bay a bit before I throw my full race turbo kit on.

I'm interested. Also koyorad and fbm fan shroud. I'm using the fbm overflow relocation bracket*, but would be interested in an aftermarket overflow that's tidier.

*Meaning the bent piece of aluminum they sold me that I had to significantly modify to make fit.

Oh, and DO NOT use the Koyorad-supplied bolts, use the ones FBM sent. I know this because I still have half of one (and part of an Advanced Auto Parts bolt extractor) in my Koyorad.

So the perrin coolant reservoir isn’t compatible with my setup because it needs that plastic piece that’s on the OEM fan shroud to hold it up. Otherwise I would’ve bought that already. Though I have thought of getting another L shaped bracket to rig it up in the engine bay as well but I don’t know the clearance with the Full Race down pipe.

So originally for my Koyorad & FBM Slim fan Shroud setup, I had some issues with my one L bracket under the intake resonator causing my coolant reservoir to sag, looks like I resolved that issue today until I get an alternative.

Attached is the way I have it rigged currently. Super ugly, but it has been working even through some hard driving. And before you mention anything about the bolts, they are flipped the other way currently. The way I have it set up now was purely for convenience to see if things fit.

Essentially, I have a short L shaped bracket that sits under the intake resonator and hooks to the one side of the coolant overflow reservoir. In order to rig the other side I went to Home Depot to get some L shaped brackets. Since they didn't have any that fit perfectly, I bought a 4 pack of smaller L brackets. I took one bracket, flattened it the best I could, and connected everything with bolts, nuts, & washers. The only thing I needed to fab was the drilled hole.

Pros:
- Simple to make work, took me about a total of 10-15 minutes to get everything rigged correctly.

Cons:
- Drilling into the metal - you probably should avoid that as much as you can but it is necessary for my application.

- Unsure of the fitment with specific turbo kits. It might sit super close to the downpipe. I'm installing my full race turbo kit soon so if anyone is interested I can make a follow up to this thread.

- Hood strut sits super close to the bolt at the bump in the bracket. Fitment isn't the greatest, it's doable. Probably will upgrade to grimmspeed hood struts eventually just to clean it up.

From what a friend told me today, SARD makes a coolant overflow reservoir that doesn't require bracketing that hooks up to the fans/radiator. So I think in the future I'm going to sack it and buy that one instead, though it is steep at like $150 before overseas shipping to the US.

For anyone looking to retain the OEM coolant reservoir, looks like this is an ugly yet functional option. Currently is super stable and doesn't touch the fan shroud.

Do you need measurements for clearance?

I think I should be good, if maybe I had photos for reference it'd make my life easier.

Just photos of where the downpipe sits going down toward the overpipe in conjunction to the reservoir placement.
