Who's in this orgy? Asking for a friend.

I agree almost. I'd just end up re-buying everything again and spending more the second time around.

One thing I am doing different is I'm risking it on a bride loan. Buy the house. Move into it and then sell mine. Way less stress there. I can also move everything at my own pace. (within 60 days) before the old house has to be listed and sold per contract.

I also don't have to be paranoid about people looking to buy the place potentially going through/taking my stuff during the home showing.

True. However one positive thing is that KC (well 2 hours south of it) will have a new paved race track in 2021 with some elevation changes! https://racer.com/2020/12/02/ozarks-...r-2021-launch/

Oh I know it would cost me 20-50%. Don't care. Last time the only reason I moved is that we bought the house across the street (literally) and, like you, we spent 3 months slowly bring stuff across the street as we needed (and fixing the place up to rent out).

I've been in this apartment since sophomore year of college, so about 8.5 years now. It's super cheap but as they say, you get what you pay for .

Well, if you decide to buy instead of fix, whatever you do DO NOT buy a Samsung refrigerator unless you like ice makers that don't work and having to take it apart every few years to defrost the the internal coils.

You want nothing to do with a $1 orgy. Just take my word for it.

So throwing random parts at it doesn't work any better with appliances than it does with cars?

And see I would say the total opposite. I have all Samsung appliances and have had 8 blissfully trouble free years with them. I will never buy anything else now.

And my family is the opposite of that.
Every Samsung appliance they bought has crapped out right after the warranty expired.
Fridge, Washer, Dryer, and TV.

That is basically what we did. Well, no Ebay, but I gave away or threw out tons of stuff. At $4000 a POD from California to Idaho, we had to be picky about what went in.

But now, all the time I end up needing something and, "oh yea, I don't have one of those anymore."
