Spun a bearing, what parts do I need to replace?
Hello, I’ve used this forum off and on to look a some things I wanted to know, but the time has come that I need to ask a question. I couldn’t find a topic in this specifically, and if this is the wrong place I apologize.
I spun a bearing on Easter Sunday, low oil pressure was the cause. Unsure what caused the pressure to be low but the shop will be in it shortly when I bring it to them. Parts I was using: IAG Stage 1 w low compression. HKS oil cooler (temps were at 150-160° average and at this specific time was at 156°) 5w40 300v oil JDL Turbo kit Killer B oil pickup I’ve recently purchased a stage 2 w low compression and will be here shortly. I’m searching for a new oil cooler, no big deal. It’s everything else. Oil pump, should I do that upgraded gear or no? Do I need to replace my oil pan? I’ve never blew an engine before so this is upsetting but I’m willing to have it all replaced at my expense. I’ll be sending it to AllPro Subaru shortly. I just want to get these parts in before I do so, less of a wait time maybe? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Whoa, I thought the IAG blocks were modified to cure low oil pressure events?

IAG has a 1 year warrantee. They have very specific oil change intervals and you have to use 0-20 Motul. If you’re more than a year out then warranty is expired. That is what it was on mine however I stayed NA so maybe FI is different.
