Unless you plan to modify the car with a widebody kit, crazy camber or stuff like that

So I am looking at the XXR 527 wheels. I'm dropped 1" and the only sizes I can find for the color I want is a 17x8.25 with a 25mm and 35mm OR 18x8.75 with a 20mm and 35mm offset. I tried reading thru the forums as not to cloud up anything... but am at work and hard to read everything... curious to get close to flush but no damage or rubbing. What would be the best?

Here is a link to what I found...Thank you in advance!

The link you've posted is 18x8.75 +35, with 1" drop, 245/35/18 tires. No rubbing. No camber settings or anything needed for this setup, so if you like it, go for that dimensions.

You're welcome

Offset is +35, or 35mm as you noticed it, however since there is positiv and negativ offset +35 is the easier way to state it (as 35mm could be positiv or negativ)

Hell no! And you really want to use 225 tires on a 10" rim?
either you're making a bad joke or you do not understand what those sizes mean. Do you have a picture or something of what you want to achieve, this may help me understand what you're looking for and I may be more helpfull than this.

2007 Outback Sport Wheels

Hi all!
Quick question on fitment - looking at a set of 2007 Outback Sport wheels
16x6.5"
+55 offset
205/55/16

These are just going to be my winters and wanted to make sure I wasn't going to have any clearance issues.

I only saw one post with similar dimensions - the wheel in this post was from 97-04 Legacy GT wheels.

These are the wheels, 19x8.5 front 45 offset
19x10 back 50 offset
On my wife's FRS I'm running 18x9.5 square 38 offset with 225/40, so I'm wondering if I can even fit a 10" on the front with that offset and still clear the coilover.

Will a 235/40-18 front 265/35-18 rear +38 fit while lowered 1" on eibach pro kit springs?

What are the wheel dimensions? I guess 9.5x18, if so, that will fit

I dont think a 10" Rim with +50 will clear the front, but it depends on your coilover. Check your inner struits, if you have on your current setup more than 1.7cm space between the rims and the inner struits it will work.
I guess you know this, but 225 tires on 9.5" rims, or even 10" is anything else than save to drive. I just wanted to mention it.

Hey guys.. figured I would ask here to make sure before I pull the trigger on my new wheels.

Looking at getting a set of 17x8 +48 (square) Advan RSII, running stock suspension. I will probably go with michelin PSS.. I am thinking either 225/45r17 or 235/45r17, is that right? which would fit better? From what I can tell from the wheel directory, this setup is 10mm off from flush (38) in the front, which means it will be sucked in by 10mm.. will that be noticeable? I checked the wheel directory and the only people with this wheel are running 18s.. does anyone have any pictures of this spec? I would like to see the concavity.

Also, with these wheels would I need a seperate set of lugs? is there a big difference with the aftermarket lugs? (other than looks)

Part of the reason I chose this wheel was that it seemed to have some concavity even with an 8 or 8.5 inch wide wheel, but if you guys can recommend other wheels of the same style I would be interested.

This will fit just like stock, but will stick out 1/2" on each side of the wheel. Go out to the car with a ruler and decide if you like it.

225/45 is only slightly larger diameter than stock. 235/45 is noticeably taller, but I ran this size for a while (at stock height on 17x9) and it looked fine. This changes your effective gearing, but you may or may not even notice that. I'd say stick with the 225s on an 8" wheel. They are plenty sticky at that width and are a good fit for the sidewall. I have the exact same tires on the same size wheel, but I'm also using spacers (F: 22mm, R: 23mm) to flush it out a bit.

We have acorn lug nuts (tapered) so check with the wheel manufacturer or vendor and confirm that they use the same (not rounded or flat). That said, go buy locking lug nuts anyway. No use getting some Advan$ just to have them stolen and find your car sitting on the rotors one morning.

Before spacers:

After spacers:

I was under the impression that the first number (225) referred to the width of the tire, and the 45 referred to the height (tall). I chose 45 to match the height of the stock wheels specifically so that I did not change anything to do with the gearing.. am I mixing it up?
