Do you have a link for that thread? Coz i saw a thread with guys mounting 9.5 +30 all over, but the thread is pretty much dead.

I don't really keep track of links. Just search for threads started by Turn in Concepts. Now that I'm thinking...it might have been at nasioc.

@JackSmiley ... Browsing just now, I saw this thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23079

Looks like he's on 18x9.5 +38 (with coilovers). Looks damn good.

I have 18x9.5 +38 on stock suspension, with the poke (and +30 would poke 8mm more) id have to run alot of camber ("alot" is my opinion not a measurement) to lower the car much w out rubbing. Also in my case i would be weary of front camber as my rim clears my spring perch by mm's, and camber would bring my rim and tire closer to the perch and spring.

Again tho, i am speaking relative to the stock perch and spring, and i am 8mm inward compared to a +30.

Question about offset, i plan on getting the rocket bunny kit next year, what would be the rec offset for the kit? My wheels of choice are 17*9 +35 fpf1 or BBS RS, since the RS are 3 piece i believe I can get them redone with a lower offset?

You'd have to go way wider and way lower with offset... Like 10.5 -0 is a good start

Do you know if i would be able to redo the BBS RS for a wider and lower offset? Lastly is running spacers to extreme for a low offset?

You could re-barrel them. It's pretty costly, I had a set of wheels done and it was close to $600 a wheel + shipping both ways.

As for running a massive spacer to make up for the narrow sizing/high offset, I'd advise against it. The further you push the wheel out without added width the more stress you're going to put on your wheel bearings. At this point I'm clueless to how strong brz/frs spacers are, but I know Subaru doesn't have a great rep when it comes hub/wheel bearing strength.

Thanks for the help, looks like im going BBS RS and will rebarrel them when needed.

Too close to the spring perch. You may "just" clear the suspension (3-5mm at most) but as soon as you drop it or add camber it will hit.

The ideal offset for this wheel is +38.

Will 225/40R18 fit 18X8 +48? Tire rack recommends 235/35-18. I've seen quite a few people using 225/40R18.

Sure will, 225/40R18 is a good fit for 18x8. Pretty much perfect diameter too. The 235/35R18 is a pretty rare tire size anyways.
