Feels more like outside, but also a bit like both. Does not feel associated with anything the car is trying to do (traction control, ebd, etc.) but rather purely a function of slip angle and load like tigermack said.

I've occasionally got that chattering when overdriving the car too.
Since I've switched to slicks (our 'STX-class' allows slicks so one needs to use them in order to stay competitive) it disappeared.

Here's an example from today, where the tires were occasionally overdriven but didn't start to chatter:

Is that Switzerland? Nice driving rx3, that course looks difficult to follow with the camera's perspective. What is all the clicking noise inside you car?
Anyway thanks for sharing something different. DP

Thanks, yes that's in Switzerland. The course was difficult but we could memorize it beforehand.
I think that clicking is from the all the stuff which is somewhat moving around (like pressure gauge, second camera, belts, cables, tools to set the dampers etc.). They can't get anywhere near the pedals though, so it doesn't bother me.

That vibration is caused by understeer. You will either need load the front wheels more smoothly by changing your driving style or you could try adding negative camber in the front.

This past weekend. Challenging course for sure. I had a lot of room to improve.

Hey Eazid thanks for posting the video. In my backseat driver opinion there was a lot coasting on that course. You might try more gas pedal followed by hard braking. DP

Here's something a little different - a couple of times a year we run an 'autocross' on the Pocono Infield road course. It's a weekend event. Easily the most fun autocrosses I've ever done. If you are within a few hours of Pocono I would highly recommend including these on the schedule - run by NEPA Region SCCA every June and Sep. For the June event they run a TnT on Friday on the smaller kart track.

Had a great course at Packwood this past weekend. This was my best run. Off from the main CS guys by a couple seconds or so. My car is on RE71R's and TRD springs. I struggled with understeer a lot this past weekend and I'm looking for any constructive criticism I can get.

Bone Stock FR-S, just as it left the dealer's lot. All that was done to it at this point was a little over 1k miles of gentle break-in driving.

This is Gulf Coast Autocrossers (GCAC) in Fort Myers Florida. (Buckingham, technically)

Critiques welcome... First video is "drying conditions" after my other two runs in the morning were messed up by rain right when I got to the line. It certainly makes the course a lot harder to drive when you're not sure what condition it's in.

Second video is afternoon. Cooked the turnaround and data says I lost 1.2 seconds in that section from the above morning run.

Nice. Did you get an alignment? Camber bolts up front? I'm on Pro Kit springs which are probably similar to the TRD. I could only get about -1.2 F and -1.9 R camber with the drop. I haven't done any events yet test the new springs but I'm thinking just by the camber numbers It will understeer with not enough front camber.
