Toyota is going to bring style, power, and vaule just like old Supra. Mk4 Supra was faster than cars twice its price.

C7 out sales those cayman and boxter big time. Not everyone wants a German car. Parts and labor on these things are crazy. I should know I own two BMWs. You talk like everyone is rushing out and buying a German car lol.

again the old supra started out with decent sales. You must not remember the 90s. There was a lot more to it than that.
I hope you're right on styling, power and value, but I think we can only pick two not all 3.

C7 outsells those car in the US because here is its home. Everywhere else in the world, Cayman/Boxster outsells C7. You do know that car companies make money from sales around the world, not just the US, right?

Tada San has said the car will make lots of power.
Kevin hunter has said $50-$60k
The concept looks great.

Moving on, yes those are US sales. I'm bring up US sales cause I live here and what are the world wide sales on both cars? Any links???

US market is one of the biggest in the world. Also keep in mind GM has just starting selling the vette in other markets not too long ago.

You probably have to do your own research on Corvette, but Cayman/Boxster sale was almost 20K in 2012 and sales accelerated faster than 911 with the overall growth of 27% in 2013. I would imagine at least 27% growth? Do the match.

Well that makes sense. The Cayman has the engine is the correct place.

If I were to buy a Porsche I'd rather have the Cayman.

The 991 also now costs 100k minimum or so out the door after tax, which is a shitload. The 997 had 10k lower msrp.

I thought Toyota said that production FT-1 will use in house powertrain, and I really hope they do. While BMW I6 has a lot of potential in making power, I don't want to deal the problems that come with it.

Hopefully, they have a crazy turbo hybrid tech to pair with a V6/I6 made in house. Lately, Toyota always has a surprised reveal.

it makes no sense to have another 2.0 engine with around 200 hp As much as 86 does.

Now, if 2.0 with Hybrid and pumping 300 HP

NA V6 or I6 with 300 hp

Twin Turbo V6 or I6 with 450 HP

Those made more senses

2017? That's too long to wait. Again, it's just a speculation, I can see the car come to the market a lot faster.

I thought the project started since FT-HS. I was expecting 2016 model with debut in next year Tokyo Auto Show.
