I've heard to run without center caps to help the wheel bearings from getting too hot. This being for track driving, not autocross.

Yes, BMW does have skid pad on their car control clinic as well. I did 1 with BMW and 2 with with PCA, signed up for 3 more for this year. It's like autocross for me, I get a lot of seat time with instructor and can safely push my car while learning one thing at a time. And I can finally meet you in person as well.

One more update, did a track day with PCA on Thursday. No idea why but felt a lot confident this time, really liked SX2 they make noise when I am skidding even a little and I can focus on correcting speed next time. Maybe those boosted my confidence? Instructor was very happy with my driving and signed me off for solo. I am still planning to get instructions but now I can mix match learning on my own for few sessions.

What sort of cash outlay is needed for this?
I don't have pov-spec lemmons resources.

If it's raining, they don't even need to lay water out.
