Salesman sent me this screengrab of status. Built on 11/24. Left Japan 12/8 and arrived in Portland 12/23. Dealer says expect delivery last week of January

Given how many dealers have VINs, it would be swell if Toyota would switch on the inventory tool from the GR86 homepage.

But, my bitching is now moot. I just managed to set a deposit down for a Neptune base model in Auburn Washington. My hunting and pecking are at an end.

Arrival is supposed to be sometime between the 8th and the 13th of January.

A dealer just told me they will take my $500 refundable deposit. 4-6 month lead time. Normal? Should I do it? Neptune blue premium 6 MT

My car has arrived today physically at my dealer in eastern canada.Since the dealer is closed friday and next monday, I will only take delivery next tuesday. I am amazed it arrived on time. My deposit was from august.

My local dealer here in TN - Cool Springs Toyota - has 5 models listed as coming soon. They are all labeled "2022 Toyota 86 STD" but 2 mention Ultrasuede interior. So I'm guessing 2 premium and 3 base. It is broken up as 4 Autos and 1 Manual. No idea if they are reserved or not. Another dealer in the area said their allocation is taken.

One of my local dealers has 3 AT cars, and one manual base model, coming in over the next few weeks. The manual is Raven, not my first choice.. but...

Somebody on GR86dotOrg posted this URL to a web app using an API that pulls data from Toyota database. The resulting page is a bunch of spew that is parsed by some tool dealers must be using:

Just replace that placeholder with the VIN in question. All kinds of stuff in there, like whether it's available or on hold by the dealer. Even the hex # of the color. Cool stuff.

Kudos to whoever shared it on the other site.

My Neptune, manual, premium says 1/11 to 1/17 but dealer website ( Toyota of Tacoma) lists it as “ just arrived” . My salesman speculated it would be available 1/23 to 1/30 so not sure ��
