The change from near zero to -1.5 front with camber bolts was quite noticeable, even on the street. Didn't cause me any issues in the winter either (I wasn't sure if it would make it too twitchy on ice). Very happy with that mod.

I find many cars on the road today look a tad strange from the back, with negative camber on the rear wheels, but the fronts being dead straight. Once you see it, it is hard to "un-see" it lol.

I think it's pretty stupid they don't build these at -1.5* to -2* front camber instead of 0* plus/minus. Cost to manufacture is exactly the same, and it's not like it would result in "dangerous oversteer" or excessive "camber wear" (which isn't really much of a thing with most radial tires anyway). Pretty annoying to be pretty much required to get camber plates to track these cars...

No need for camber if you drive the speed limit on public roads.

No, there isn't a need for it. It just handles better, even within legal limits.

Having additional cornering grip available in an emergency benefits safety.

Saved me this AM as I was just making the yellow light for U-turn on way into work and my foot slipped off the brake! Got some understeer and scrubbed the winter tires I'm still on, but easily made the turn. Thanks to -2.5 camber (my "winter setting")!

The next autocross event I went to after getting my 1.5 degree camber I did a 360 degree spin... I'd say for the street 0 camber is safer

Nope. You just need more practice behind the wheel.

If you haven't reached the point you can steer the car with the throttle.....

Yep, I could name all kinds of things we don't NEED. But if you aren't going to enjoy life, might as well just jump off a building and call it a day.

Unlikely the camber had anything to do with you spinning. 0 or 1.5 would make very little difference.

I feel a big difference between zero and one and a half degrees.

1.5 is a decent move on the right direction. But a lot more is needed to extract max grip. In any case if someone went from 0 front camber to -1.5, it’s absurd to ascribe any spins to this (not so) radical change in front camber. Also, this car suffers massively from being nose-heavy, so negative front camber is fricking crucial to get any kind of decent balance. -1.5 front camber is a step in the right direction but not nearly enough to balance the car.

For anyone who finds this understeery car to be too spinny with a mere 1.5deg front camber, I recommend a LOT more track time.

I've lived with three and a half degrees for the last 10 years. And have driven 5°. I'm not saying one and a half is ideal. Just that it is a significant difference from zero.
