Count me in as interested on that.

Also, I'd be VERY interested if someone bootlegged the dealer software. It can't be particularly difficult to do - they're running it on either Android or Windows I'm sure, and if there's a registration system to ensure it's only "authorized" dealers that use it, there's bound to be a way to trick that as well.

Can the dealer or a tire shop adjust the speedometer if I get 215/55-17 tires?

Will the dealer charge us to do this if we already picked up our 86?

It’s not, you need an external device capable of this. Most aftermarket remote starts can have this feature enabled, and there were a couple devices for gen1 specifically for this one purpose but none of them for gen2 yet that i’m aware of.

No. Also putting tires almost 2 inches taller on the car is kind of insane lol. If you want that much sidewall, move to a 16 inch wheel.

That link, this thread, and Google aren't any help in searching for what "SSM4" or "SSM5" might be.

Subaru Select Monitor. The Subaru equivalent to Techstream.

I’ve used techstream V18 successfully on my GR86. Not sure if the version linked in that thread works though.

Just going to throw it out there... many of the things listed in this thread you can do yourself just by going into the cars settings menu.

There's actually a lot of stuff in there that's configurable.

Where did you get Techstream 18? Everything I'm finding online looks like an effective way to install a lot of viruses.

Alternately, if someone can confirm whether or not SSM5 also works on the GR86, that might be a better alternative.

Sorry but the only customization available in techstream that supports the 2022 and 2023 appears to be enabling or disabling the active sound. But there is no more other customization available through techstream.

All other options are already available to be changed via the infotainment screen, or the gauge cluster. The car does not have speed lock or unlock for manuals or automatics either.

One of the few options that SSM has is the AC change but thats pritty much it.
