There's a bit of work to switch em out. You'll need to pull off the door card and remove 6 screws behind the upper door armrest and some pull tabs.

Received my wheels on April 18, 2022 even though I was told I'd receive them in August. A pleasant surprise when I got an update that they would arrive early. I didn't think it'd be this early haha. One of my dream wheels!

Rays Gram Lights 57CR 17x9 +38 5x100 in E8 Gold.

Quick exterior mod: wrapped the roof black on April 29, 2022. I've always wanted to do this so I wrapped it myself. There are minor imperfections but overall, it looks good. I used Avery Dennison gloss black vinyl wrap.

Also had college grad pics (way overdue) on May 9, 2022. My uni does ceremonies once a year and they postponed mine for 2 years so cheers I guess? Anyways, here's one of the many pictures that my cousin took.

Got some suspension stuff on June 4, 2022. These are SPL rear lower control arms. Now to figure out coilovers. Excited when suspension and wheels are coming together.

Another update!

Fully paid my car off on August 6, 2022!! Finished it 2 years early. Feels awesome. Now for some major mods.

Also I host drives for this platform and we had a large drive for 8/6 day in SoCal.

Got my new wheels and new tires mounted on September 9, 2022. It was time to replace my tires. I went to America's Tire and they were great. I asked them to keep all the docs from the wheel boxes and put the OEM wheels in the box. Definitely recommend getting tires from there.

I got Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 in 245/40r17. Really wanted Pilot Sport 4S but I called numerous tire shops and they're backordered for 2-3 months.

Got my Tein Flex A's on September 8, 2022. Installed this along with the SPL rear lower control arms on September 10, 2022 with the great help of a friend. He's on the forums but I don't know his username haha I'm hoping he sees this.

This was my first time wrenching on suspension. I know seasoned DIY mechanics find coilovers easy but this was daunting to me as I had very limited mechanical experience. You can only learn so much from YouTube. I'm glad to have met my good friend who used to have a supercharged 1st gen FRS and now has a 2nd gen BRZ. I learned a lot and did a few things but he did most of the work. Really cool to see the suspension bits and take a closer look of what each does.

One thing I found is that the Tein Flex A's comes with camber plates as well as adjustable front end links. My friend has KW V3's and said he had to buy camber plates and front end links separately.

So far, it rides similar to the Sachs dampers from the factory but just a little stiffer. I'll be playing around with the damping settings once I drive the car more and in the canyons.

Now I have an appointment tomorrow at West End Alignment to dial everything in! It's really cool to see the vision I had for my car to come to fruition.

I will come back here to post how it looks with the new lowered look, alignment, and corner balancing!

Here it is! Just from a curvy freeway entrance, I can feel the difference with the alignment.

Camber:
-1.5 Front
-2.0 Rear

Since this car is my daily driver, I didn't want it to be so low that I scrape on every driveway, entrance, and exit. I believe this is just right for fitment and function. Not sure how many inches lower it is from stock height as we played around with the coils.

Can't wait to see how it drives in the canyons for this Sunday drive. Should be able to get proper pics as well.
