Switch from 93 to e85 easier

So it is really a pain for me to switch and I am trying to make it easier. Since there is only 1 station around me that has e85 and most of my driving is going to work and home. usually i drive as many time as possible back and forth to work. each day uses just under 1/4 a tank and then I have to drive around to just waste gas to get it a low as possible. So i was thinking of buying a siphoning pump and would like peoples opinions. DO you think the below pump would work well and is worth it? It will need a 5 gallon tank.

Why not just buy an ethanol module like the one that delicious sells and the corresponding tune and be done with it?

Then you can run what ever gas (with in reason) that your happy ass wants to and not have to worry about trying to run it nearly empty and messing around with tune swaping.

Before you spend your hard earned cash, I would try inserting a tube into the gas tank and see if it is possible.
I had a plan one time to fill up the tank on my Saturn and siphon it out to use during a hurricane for a generator.
But, alas, It was impossible to get the hose to the tank because of obstructions and bends etc. So I went without power until the gas stations got replenished.

You are in FL, why not just run E85 all the time? Why bother switching unless you are going long distance?

I had to make the switch back for a few reason. The biggest one was the hurricane we had and not able to find e85 since there is only 2 stations in my area that sell it.

Time is money, buy a flex fuel kit. Cheaper in the long run.

Flex fuel or fill up jerry cans when you fill up the tank.

Sucks that it is a pain in the butt to drain the fuel from this tank.

I love how people are always like " why not just drop the $1500 for the full flex fuel kit?" like we all have $1500 just sitting around. So what if you have to spend a few extra minutes to convert one way or the other, it's a hell of a lot cheaper than getting a flex fuel kit.

They say it because it is the proper way to do it. Sure you can work around it by switching back and forth but since this thread exists at all there are obviously issues with that method. If $1500 is too much to do things the right way when your whole engine is at risk you probably shouldn't be doing it at all.

Not very often at all. Thats why i have no need for the flex fuel kit. I use the OFT and it works great.

What's the mechanism that balances out the two lines in the tank? I know it's been discussed, but I don't remember whether it needed power in the pump or not. OP might want to take a look at that.

Sometimes spending money up front is cheaper in the long run. You stated you drive around and waste gas just to switch over. How much does that cost you? Wear and tear, extra gas, TIME, and increasing you chances of an accident. Put a value on all that stuff and add it up over the life of the vehicle. If it comes up to more than $1500 then yes it will be better to get the kit, if not you are good.

It took me a long time to realize that time truly is money.

In this case, I'd certainly be ok with spending the money on a Flex Fuel kit, vs farting around every time I need/want to switch.
