Mine settled after a track day and now it is even better. Mechanical click, but with way less effort. Very quick and rewarding. Way better than Kartboy. And the position is perfect, now I have right hand on the wheel more often.

I have Perrin engine bushings and planning to do this on transmission too. Currently on Whiteline bushings there.

Installed mine last Wednesday right on time for my event this past weekend. Love it. One of my top 5 mods.
Thanks everybody for their inputs as the instructions that came with the CAE were not that intuitive. Specially @Vracer111 for bringing this product to our attention.

Anybody who retained stock interior make something to cover up that section that protrudes through the factory tunnel cover? Did anyone get one in black yet? 😍

According to the instructions supplied by Hard motorsports, the plate that has the boot needs to be installed under the car not inside the cabin. Did anybody do it this way?
I could not find a way of bolting the plate to the body under the car, so I left it under the shifter.

I can see where you read that in the instructions, but my guess is that these are instructions written in German and translated into English. So no, you got it right the plate belongs inside the car directly under the shifter.

I did a 225km trip and back to CAE Shift Technology in Essen Germany. The manager himself did the install of my ultrashifter. I ordered in fact the alu shifter but I opted for the black version the moment he showed me that model. Sublime.
All one can say is that this is shifting in another league and a very good mod to improve driving sensations with a GT86/BRZ.
Thanks Anthony for your review of it. Big smile the way back home especially when the band mentioned on your cap was playin' Cygnus X1 through my speakers
Now I need to reinstall the center console. Some advice Anthony?

Haha awesome! But no, sorry. I've never put my center console back in, so I can't help with that.

Sounds like some badass customer service! Pictures of the install? Black version makes me salivate a little, at least I think that's saliva

It is. This guy knows very well what he's doing. Top notch installation and I cannot say how happy I am with this badass shifter. The guy was so friendly I even got a spare red shifter knob as you can see.

I have to admit that it looks more badass without centerconsole. And without it you'll pick up all the chicks. But you'll have to live with much more noise, isn't it Anthony?

As this car is not used for tracking I decided to reinstall the center console. I even reinstalled the shift boot because I have filled the free space around the shifter base with some noise insulation.

It looks so good. I wonder if they could anodize it in WRB.

For those of you that did the install, in order to remove the "floor shift control shift level retainer" (the big bracket that holds the four bolts to the actual shifter) refer to this (not the part that says "the target, but the actual big bracket) how did you remove this from the transmission side (the part that pivots on the transmission side)? Is it two pins that holds it in or is it bolts ?

Well strange...on the CAE website you can find this anodised blue...but it's not named WRB.
