Yo can remove your road insurance but you have to keep the fire/theft in case of accident. This is usually no big deal as it's the cheapest part of insurance. Anything other then that would be news to me but as it's been said maybe leasing is different although I don't see why it would be due to the fact that even on a loan they still have money in the vehicle.

I just switched insurance companies and I had a similar answer from them. In order for them to drop the BRZ to just fire and theft they require a letter from my finance/lease company. I'm financing through Toyota but I haven't called them yet. After seeing what they told you I probably won't bother....

I wont re-quote everybody but I'll answer in here.
Toyota Canada is the leasing company.
It's not an issue with where it's parked.

Like George said I can park it all I want but I'm not saving any money. I'd be spending more parking it on somebody else's property.

I called my insurance company (Bel Air), and the guy I spoke with told me I needed to keep the comprehensive and I could remove the road insurance - which I was aware of. He said since it's leased I need the permission. I still got the quote and the way my payments are structured it would have been $0/month (which is much better than $158). The woman at Toyota today said it's even in my contract, which obviously I didn't read word for word.
@Chico don't bother because as soon as I said I wanted to store it she pretty much hung up on me lol The tone in her voice changed from helpful to "you're wasting my time".

that being said, you CAN store it, just not saving anything on insurance
Mine is a lease(2 yr) as well, but driving it this winter, so no worries here either

A lease will be different then a finance for sure. for example, AADA Leasing, requires 2mil liability. nothing less. even though 1mil is standard.
I am sure they would say No to dropping insurance for storage as well.

I lease. I can't live with the thought of making payments on something I'm not using, so I'm driving it this winter.

What mail forwarding business do you guys use at Ogdensburg?
I'm debating if I should get my stuff at that border crossing, or one near Montreal.

You won't be saying that 5 years from now when all your bolts are seized and you have rust popping through your fenders

Already had seized bolts, but from high track temps....
Fenders will probably be fibreglass by then anyways.

Hopefully its last winter though.

LOL. Have a feeling my car will look very similar to the FT1 by then.

Quick edit of @Simon99 & I at Gatineau park. Notice the dead trees.
I'll get the rest of the pictures out soon. Slowly but surely.
