I find it a bit misleading the way the graph shows HP:TQ

I'm making 125 WHP and 90lbs of torque over stock right now with the greddy kit, kit is holding up great, no issues so far. I highly suggest you get a boost controller and have it tuned at the same time, I just had mine put in last week and it made a world of difference in spool and powerband.

yes injectors and pump, however you can still make those numbers without them. I upgraded them because I plan to go E85 later.

I'm not running the Greddy Turbo kit anymore but this was the tune Full Blown did for me on E85 @ 14PSI (max on the stock Greddy actuator). My 91 pump tune was around 245whp.

Some decent power on E85 @shiro...What kit you running now why switch,
could have just run a little bigger turbo than a T518Z on the same set up. I guess R/T Tunning maxed out the Greddy Turbo kit on pump |

To make a long story short on why I switched turbo kits, Full Blown built my new engine and I wanted to run their turbo on it. Ultimately, tuners can tune any kit but they are masters of their own (no bugs). I wanted a little piece of mind with a modified (lower compression) engine and a well known kit. Background: While building my engine I was building my Greddy turbo kit. I was going to put the T517Z actuator on the Greddy (T518z) and shoot for 400whp while using a recirculating BOV. I had done most of the modification except the actuator mod. With the amount of money I was putting into the Greddy kit I could buy a better built kit for around the same price. Also, I could put different turbo's on Full Blowns Kit without having to change the whole kit out. The Greddy kit did feel a little cheaper in design BUT with the short intercolor piping and no BOV design makes is quick and great for drifting. After reading about the Mitsubishi turbo versus Garrett's designs I decided it was more beneficial to go with another kit. Mitsubishi's T518Z is a great turbo but I felt a Garrett GTX2867R (oil and water cooled) would last a little longer, life-wise. Greddy also announced (on Jan 17 2014) that they are doing a new partnership with Garrett in the upcoming months to us their turbos, which made me think of a decline in Mitsubishi's sales and quality. Overall, I wanted a longer lasting build and I felt Full Blown's kit would get me there. Plus, I want to move onto my next project with a muscle car and a chevy 454 big block. Everything I said above was meant in a respectful manner. |

Thank you @shiro,Good info...You are right about the Mitsubishi is not gonna be in the market for too long ,they even stopped production of Evo's....Greddy & Garrett is gonna be a crazy combo... FBM is the way to go,they really makes some quality products and now they have come out with cam shafts and some head games now...700hp+ mark on a super light weight chassis my my whole another level... i got this crazy offer on Greddy that i couldn't resist, and that short piping layout i pulled the trigger. I had no plans to boosting my daily initially, wanted to max out on NA...shit just lost control i have to put my Supra build on stand by... Twin Turbo the big block..they have insane amount of torque!!! I was thinking if we could swap the T518Z to GTX2867R or a Borg Warner EFR with internally gated turbine housing .86 A/R should turn out to be better set up,with minimal mod to down pipe. HOW MANY T518Z USERS OUT THERE? |

Would an fbm kit be good for drifting too? What about tracking? I'm just wondering because the short intercooler piping design seems to be beneficial. Also, how does the no bov design help?
For me, there is no glide in pulse and glide :p |
