Well, i am happy with my kit. Everything running smoothly after my accident of not clamping a coolant line and spraying it all over my engine/hood. Its back on the road, dual catch can from radium. Thinking eventually built motor/bigger turbo etc

Finally got my car tuned last week! 396hp on e85 (e70) and 314hp on 91 10psi its a different car. I will only be using e85, no more 91 for me. I need to figure out on how to loosen my wastegate spring. My tuner was telling me that it was too tight, it is the 7psi spring and I am using a 3 port boost solenoid. any takers on what the tuner means by loosening the wastegate spring? I tried googling and yt and just cant find anything.

You can't loosen a wastegate spring, it is set at a fixed pressure. You add/remove springs to create the desired resistance. I'm certain they meant another component, probably the blow-off valve. The TurboSmart vee port pro BOV that came with your kit has a loosen/tighten mechanic. You just need to rotate the housing, there is an arrow on top of the BOV that can show you the direction you need.

Congratulations on getting your car all set and running, take care of it!

i did give up for 3 days while waiting for new hoses, reducers and clamps from summit racing lol

But i haven't got it dyno'd yet.. noticed today with the ECU phone app while driving hit 241 lb torque on a 3rd gear pull. not bad, but i noticed while doing that that i had a boost creep to 9lbs !

That's exactly what I said I know they're are a set pressure, but he said loosen my wastegate spring trust I remember vividly. they even reminded me through email lol OH! ok I completely forgot about the bov having the adjustability I installed it right out of the box without adjustment. you think the bov is too tight so its making me build/hold more pressure than I'm wanting? sorry for the late reply, I'm not on often.

thanks for the jogging my memory and advice bro. trust me I do take care of it. I've had it since 2013 and its been garaged all its life, its my baby. just replaced my old coilovers with some HKS Hypermax ones (6k,4k), tuner said previous supsension was too stiff (8k,8k) making the tires break loose on
the dyno. My pilot super sports were sitting for a long time because of a deployment and they were old. Replaced my coilovers anyway because I've had them since mid 2014 and got new Falken fk510s. I will be upgrading to Toyo r888s once I find wheels that can replace my Advans, which is hard af lol Anyway long story short I have a lot of money into my car and I never stop buying new car parts for it and keep most of my old parts lol.

I ordered a JDL kit with 2860rs turbo. My goals are 300whp using 93 now and then 300whp with e85 in the future. I'm looking at the southbend stage 2 daily (rated for ~315 tq) and southbend stage 3 daily(rated for ~400tq). Should I go stage 2 or stage 3? Anyone have issues slipping on stage 2?

Thanks

I would just get the stage 3. Remember these are rated at the crank or in the case flywheel and not whp and wtq

What are people doing for a filter on a 4" inlet? I bought an AGP filter but it's too long. I'm going to run a turbo screen for the time being, but I'm curious what others have done. A filter straight off the inlet puts me straight into the front support framework

I'll likely end up putting an ugly looking pipe + filter into the pocket where the windshield washer reservoir lived.
