Oh, and I literally just put brand new tires on the WRX and had it paint corrected and ceramic coated in October.

I am so smart. I am so smart. S-M-R-T, I mean S-M-A-R-T.

Layoffs hit my company today. "Fortunately" it's mostly just the sales side (I'm in engineering), though there were also a few from engineering as well. Not me this time but definitely some butt-clenching beginning since I've only been around for four months.

Definitely going to need to talk to you about tuning options since I've been out of the game for so long. Pretty sure I'm not going to be able to tolerate the stock tune for very long.

Reminds me of when someone from the office came back into the shop and told us, "I heard some rumors that because new contracts are slow coming in that some heads are going to roll. Poor bastards." He had the folks in engineering, machine shop, assembly and testing labs all a bit anxious. The head honcho didn't get rich by accident. The office took all the cuts and one guy in the shop retired. The rumor monger was included in the layoffs.

We always had advance notice of layoffs at my last company because somebody found the network drive where HR would put all the paperwork. Couldn't see the content, but we could determine roughly how many people by the file size.

I was never worried about myself. Would have been amusing to get laid off and hear about the carnage though.

I did get reorg-ed 12 times in 4 years, that was pretty miserable.
